๐Ÿ“– Genesis 22:1โ€“11

Abraham waited many years for the child God had promised him. When Isaac finally came, God tested Abraham by asking him to offer the very thing he loved dearly. Abraham did not argue with God. When God called him, his response was simply, โ€œHere I am.โ€

This teaches us that sometimes God will ask for the things we love most. He wants us to trust Him completely and place everything in His hands.

The church today is suffering in some areas because members are not giving back to God from what He has blessed them with. Yet there are also faithful members who respond like Abraham: โ€œHere I am, Lord.โ€

๐†๐จ๐ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ญ ๐€๐ฌ๐ค ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐ƒ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ญ ๐‡๐š๐ฏ๐ž

God knows what He has given each one of us. He does not ask us to give what we do not have. But whatever we bring to God should be given wholeheartedly and without defects. We should not give God what is left over while keeping the best for ourselves.

๐‹๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐’๐ข๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ก๐ข๐ง๐

Before going up the mountain, we must be willing to leave our sinful ways behind. We cannot continue carrying the old life while claiming to be walking with God.

Salvation is personal. Your relationship with God is your responsibility. We must each listen for God's voice and respond when He calls.

Abraham trusted God even when he could not understand everything. He believed that somehow, God would provide.

โ€œMy son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.โ€ Genesis 22:8

๐“๐จ๐๐š๐ฒ'๐ฌ ๐‘๐ž๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง

God is still speaking. Are you listening to His voice?

When God calls, may our answer be like Abraham's:

โ€œHere I am.โ€

And when we face situations we cannot understand, may we have the faith to say:

โ€œ๐Œ๐˜ ๐†๐Ž๐ƒ ๐–๐ˆ๐‹๐‹ ๐๐‘๐Ž๐•๐ˆ๐ƒ๐„.โ€

๐Ÿ™ May God help us to trust Him, obey His voice, give Him our best, leave our sins behind, and believe that He will provide for every need according to His will. Amen.

Jephtah was the son of a pr******te, and because of his background, his own family rejected him.

โ€œYou shall have no inheritance in our fatherโ€™s house, for you are the son of another woman.โ€

Those words must have been painful. Jephtah was rejected because of something he did not choose. But his rejection did not cancel God's purpose for his life.

๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐๐‘๐Ž๐๐‹๐„๐Œ๐’ ๐‚๐€๐ ๐Œ๐€๐Š๐„ ๐˜๐Ž๐” ๐’๐“๐‘๐Ž๐๐†๐„๐‘

Sometimes we ask, โ€œWhy am I going through this?โ€ Yet God can use difficult seasons to prepare us for what lies ahead.

Jephtah was pushed away, but later the same people who rejected him needed his leadership.

๐Ÿ“– ๐‰๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ”

โ€œCome and be our commander, that we may fight against the people of Ammon.โ€

What a change! The rejected man became the man they needed.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ ๐“๐‘๐„๐€๐“ ๐Ž๐“๐‡๐„๐‘ ๐๐„๐Ž๐๐‹๐„โ€™๐’ ๐‚๐‡๐ˆ๐‹๐ƒ๐‘๐„๐ ๐–๐ˆ๐“๐‡ ๐‹๐Ž๐•๐„

Jephtah's story should also teach us to be careful about how we treat other people's children. Never despise someone because of their family background, circumstances or history.

You may be looking at someone and seeing their past, while God is looking at their future.

The church should be a place where people find acceptance, restoration and hope.

โ€œTherefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all.โ€

And Jesus reminds us:

โ€œWhatever you want men to do to you, do also to them.โ€

People may have called Jephtah an outcast, but God saw a leader.

Your background is not bigger than God's purpose. Your rejection is not the end of your story.

โ€œAnd we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.โ€

Jephtah's story reminds us that even when people reject us, God can still lead us.

โ€œThe steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD.โ€

We may not understand every step, but we can trust the One who is leading.

Lord, help us never to judge people by their past or circumstances. Teach us to treat one another with love, dignity and kindness. When we experience rejection, remind us that Your purpose is greater than people's opinions. Lead us by Your own hand and turn our difficult experiences into opportunities for growth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Can God be trusted when the answer has not come? When the door remains closed? When your plans fall apart?

Yes. He can. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Faith is not trusting God only when everything makes sense. Faith is trusting Him even when it doesn't.

โ€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.โ€

You may not understand what God is doing today, but you can trust who He is. His timing may challenge you, but His character never changes.

Our gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of a new week and for carrying us safely through the past days. As we begin this Monday, we place our lives, families, work and plans into Your hands.

Lord, go before us and order our steps. Give us wisdom for every decision, strength for every responsibility, and peace in every situation. Help us to trust You completely and to walk according to Your will.

We thank You for the blessings of Camp Meeting. May the lessons, worship and fellowship continue to bear fruit in our lives. Help us to remain faithful even after leaving the campsite.

Protect us today, provide for our needs, and make us a blessing wherever we go.
