APOSTLE SIKOBELA DATES KABUNDI CONGREGATION

This morning, Kabundi congregation hosted Apostle Steven Sikobela who conducted the morning divine service.

Accompanying the Apostle were were District Rector Phiri Albert, Assistant District Rector Walusiku Davies both from Mufulira.

For this divine service, which drew 760 members, the Apostle based his sermon on the Biblical text from the book of Matthew 17:5 which reads;

_While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of_ _the_
_cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am_ _well_
_pleased. Hear Him!”_

*Message:* The Divinity of Christ was Manifested visibly in the transfiguration.

APOSTLE STEVEN SIKOBELA CONDUCTS A MIDWEEK DIVINE SERVICE AT KAMUCHANGA CONGREGATION

On Wednesday, 4th March 2026, Apostle Steven Sikobela Conducted a Midweek Divine Service at Kamuchanga Congregation in Mufulira. The Apostle was accompanied by local District Leaders.

The Divine Service was held under the theme “Jesus the Physician” , based on Matthew 9:12, with the Bible reading taken from Matthew 9:10–13.

In his sermon, the Apostle emphasized that Jesus grants complete healing. He highlighted that Christ not only heals physical illnesses but also restores the soul. His fellowship with tax collectors and sinners demonstrated God’s mercy and revealed that He came to call sinners to repentance. The healings performed by Jesus were signs of the nearness of the Kingdom of God and pointed to the eternal healing that will be fully realized in the new creation.

A total of 196 members attended the Divine Service, including brethren from Buseko Congregation. Also in attendance was Apostle Jacob Mwansa (ir), along with other local Ministers in retirement.

At the end of the service, the Apostle announced to the Congregation that District Apostle Kububa Soko will conduct a Divine Service in Chingola at Chingola Central Church on 14th March 2026, and all members from Mufulira District are invited to attend.

*APOSTLE SIKOBELA CONDUCTS A DIVINE SERVICE FOR THE DEPARTED AT CHINGOLA CENTRAL*

The divine service for the departed is one of the most significant occasions in the New Apostolic Church. During this service, members pray for unredeemed souls in the beyond, inviting them to the altar of grace where the holy sacraments are dispensed. In this spirit of reflection and intercession, Apostle Steven Sikobela led 424 members in the divine service for the departed at Chingola Central congregation on the Copperbelt.

For this divine service which commenced at 09:00 hours, the Apostle based his sermon on John 11 vs 43.

Under the theme *"Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World,"* Apostle Sikobela delivered a sermon whose message was: *"Through faith, salvation is accessible to both the living and the dead"* . In his exposition of the text, Apostle Sikobela emphasized that the Lord Jesus Christ calls both the living and the departed to salvation, just as He called Lazarus from the tomb. He testified that by responding to this call in the affirmative, we are freed from all shackles and attain eternal life.

LATE DISTRICT ELDER MAFWO HARRISON SEULU REMEMBERED

Saturday, 28th February 2026 – Chingola

Lead Apostle Yakomba Yavwa was today Saturday 28th February 2026 conducted a memorial service for our beloved Late District Elder Mafwo Harrison Seulu. The service was held at Chingola Central Cemetery and was attended by brothers and sisters from the New Apostolic Church, together with family members and friends.

The Lead Apostle was accompanied by Apostle Patrick Poho of Solwezi and Bishop Shem Samalela from the Kitwe–Luanshya Apostle Area.
Also in attendance were Retired Apostle Jacob Mwansa, Bishop Mumba Shadrick, district leaders, ministers, family members, friends, and believers from different congregations.

The divine service was based on Romans 8:38–39, which says:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Words of comfort were delivered to the family and to all who gathered by Apostle Patrick Poho and Bishop Shem Samalela, encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in faith and to keep their hope in Christ.

The Lead Apostle Yakomba Yavwa also comforted the congregation with the scripture from 1 Corinthians 2:9.

During the service, the tombstone was unveiled by the family together with ministers and friends.
After the unveiling, tributes were given by the wife, children, family members, friends, and ministers, all remembering the life, love, and dedication of the Late District Elder.

Late District Elder Mafwo Harrison Seulu was known for his deep love for God, his commitment to the work of the Lord, and his faithfulness in serving in the house of God.

He will forever be loved and remembered.

The congregation was encouraged that the legacy of District Elder Seulu should continue through faithfulness, unity, and dedication to the work of God.

​Apostle Steven Sikobela conducted his inaugural divine service at Kamenza Congregation today, following his ordination as an Apostle on 8th February 2026 in Lusaka.
​The festive divine service commenced at 09:00 hours. The Apostle based his sermon on Luke 15:5–6:
​"And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’"
​Message: We rejoice in knowing that God wants to save all people.

​After the service which drew 396 members, Apostle Sikobela announced the upcoming visit of District Apostle Kububa Soko to Chingola, on 14th March 2026. Additionally, the Apostle announced that Priest Zacks Chindumba will take up the role of Area Music Leader (AML) for the Chingola-Mufulira Apostle Area.
​Apostle Sikobela also noted that he is cognizant of the vacancies in many leadership roles across various church groups. He requested that members exercise patience as he works tirelessly to establish leadership structures among various groups in the Apostle Area.
