🍇 Building God's Vineyard Together: Celebrating Our Teachers at Holy Family, Lulamba Parish! 📚🙏
What a glorious and grace-filled Sunday we experienced today at Holy Family Catholic Church! As we gathered for the 06:30 Bemba Mass, the church was alive with vibrant singing, deep devotion, and a magnificent spirit of Christian unity.
Today marked the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A), where our Lord reminds us through the parable of the tenants about the vineyard He has entrusted to our care. In a very special way, we connected this sacred mission to our esteemed educators as we joyfully celebrated World Teachers' Day!
Just like diligent farmers tending to a vineyard, our teachers labor with patience, love, and dedication to nurture the minds and souls of the younger generation. Every lesson taught, every bit of moral guidance shared, and every act of patience in the classroom is a vital contribution to building God's kingdom right here on earth.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6

During the 06:30 Mass, our teachers stepped forward to receive a special blessing. We lifted them up in prayer, thanking God for the noble vocation of teaching.
Let us continue to pray for our teachers:
Lord God Almighty, source of all wisdom and truth, we thank You for the gift of our teachers. Bless them abundantly with strength, patience, and divine grace as they mold the future of our children and our nation. May they find joy in their noble service, knowing that their labor in Your vineyard bears fruit that will last forever. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏✨
A massive Natatasha and God bless you to all teachers for your tireless service to the Church, our community, and society at large!

A Special Encouragement Letter Addressed to All Teachers

Dear Beloved Teachers,

We write this with hearts full of admiration and prayerful support for each one of you. As you stand before your classrooms every day, imparting knowledge and moral values, remember that you are never alone. You are co-workers with God in the magnificent task of creation and formation.

When the challenges of the classroom weigh heavy on your shoulders, and when patience wears thin, look up to the Master Teacher, Jesus Christ, who calls you by name. Your patience with a struggling student, your words of encouragement, and your silent prayers for your children do not go unnoticed by Heaven. You are planting seeds of eternity in young hearts.

Take heart, stay strong, and let your light continue to shine brightly in our schools, our parish, and our nation.

A Prayer of Blessing for Our Teachers:

Almighty and Eternal God, we lift up all our teachers into Your hands today. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them. Grant them wisdom beyond measure, unshakeable patience, and boundless joy in their vocation. Protect their families, bless their hands as they write and guide, and let Your grace sustain them always. May they reap a rich harvest of goodness for all the love they sow. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏✨

🕯️ When Heaven Draws Near: The Beauty of Eucharistic Adoration

"Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice." — Psalm 141:2

There is a sacred quiet that fills the air during Eucharistic Adoration at Holy Family Catholic Church, lulamba Parish. In moments like these, heaven and earth meet. As the priest slowly incenses the Blessed Sacrament, the fragrant smoke rises upward, carrying our silent prayers straight to the throne of God, while the choir and congregation lift their voices in ancient, majestic praise.

📖 Understanding Our Sacred Traditions

For those watching or joining us in spirit, here is a simple look at the deep meaning behind two of the most powerful moments in this video:

1. The Meaning of "Tantum Ergo"

As the priest prepares for Benediction, we sing the final two verses of the hymn Tantum Ergo (composed by St. Thomas Aquinas).

What the words mean: The Latin phrase Tantum Ergo Sacramentum translates to "Therefore, so great a Sacrament, let us bow down and worship." It speaks of the profound mystery of the Holy Eucharist, acknowledging that human senses fail us, but faith alone reveals Jesus truly present.

Why we sing it: We sing it as an act of profound adoration, bridging the Old and New Testaments, acknowledging that faith replaces what our eyes cannot fully see.

First Verse of Tantum Ergo: Latin: Tantum ergo Sacramentum Veneremur cernui: Et antiquum documentum Novo cedat ritui: Præstet fides supplementum Sensuum defectui.

English: Down in adoration falling, Lo! the sacred Host we hail, Lo! o'er ancient forms departing, Newer rites of grace prevail; Faith for all defects supplying, Where the feeble senses fail.

2. Why the Priest Incenses the Blessed Sacrament

You will see white smoke billowing around the Monstrance. This use of frankincense is rich with symbolism:

Adoration and Honor: In the Bible and ancient tradition, incense is burned only for God as a supreme sign of worship, reverence, and honor.

Prayers Rising to Heaven: Just as the fragrant smoke curls upward into the air, Revelation 8:4 tells us that the smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of the saints, rises up before God. It is a visual reminder that our prayers are ascending straight to heaven.

🙏 A Short Prayer

Lord Jesus, hidden in the Blessed Sacrament, thank You for drawing us close to Your Eucharistic Heart. May our prayers rise before You like incense, and may Your grace sanctify our families, our parish of lulamba, and our world this day. Amen.

✨ Under the Gaze of Grace: A Heavenly Start to October! ✨

There is a profound stillness that settles over the soul when heaven touches earth. At Holy Family Catholic Church, lulamba Parish, hearts overflowed with reverence and joy as our priest raised the Blessed Sacrament, lifting Jesus in the Monstrance to bless His beloved people.

As we officially cross the threshold into October—the Month of the Holy Rosary—we place our steps, our homes, and our futures directly into the most Sacred Heart of Jesus and under the gentle mantle of Our Blessed Mother.

A Quiet Hour with the Lord at Holy Family, Lulamba Parish 🕊️✨

There is nothing quite like the profound peace of resting in the presence of our Lord. Today, on this blessed First Friday of the month, our community at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lulamba Parish gathered together to pour out our hearts, seek His mercy, and simply sit in silent communion with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

In a world that is so loud, fast-paced, and full of distractions, spending time before the Eucharist is a sacred anchor for the soul. It is here, in the quiet gaze of the Monstrance, that we find true healing, renewed strength, and the deep, abiding peace that only Christ can give. He waits for us—patient, loving, and completely present.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

"The Eucharist is the secret of my day. It gives me strength and sustenance for life’s journey, for creating an atmosphere of love and service." — St. John Paul II

"My Lord and my God, thank You for drawing us close to Your Sacred Heart today. May this hour of adoration leave an indelible mark on our souls, guiding our thoughts, words, and actions all through this month."

Starting October with Our Lady: A Song from Our Young Men's

Holy Family Catholic Church, Lulamba Parish

As the sun rises on October 1st, we officially cross the threshold into the Month of the Holy Rosary. To welcome this beautiful month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, we invite you to pause, listen, and reflect.

Listen to a special Marian hymn Sung by the Young Men's Choir during our recent parish Mass. Let this beautiful music set the tone for your day and draw your heart closer to Jesus through the hands of Mary.

Why Begin October with the Rosary?

As we step into a new month, it is easy to let the busyness of life take over. Taking up the Rosary is a deliberate choice to hand our days over to God's grace. Day by day, bead by bead, the Rosary acts as a spiritual anchor. It transforms our daily routine into a continuous dialogue with heaven, ensuring that no matter what challenges we face, we walk hand-in-hand with our spiritual Mother.

A Prayer Chain of Faith: Where the Rosary Matters

The power of the Rosary is personal, but its ripple effect builds up our entire community across every level of our parish life:

At the Individual Level: Daily recitation of the Rosary brings interior peace, strengthens personal virtue, and guards our minds and hearts against anxiety. It is a quiet sanctuary we can enter anywhere, at any time.

At the Small Christian Community (SCC) Level: When neighbors and neighborhood groups gather to pray the Rosary, bonds of Christian love are deepened. It turns our local blocks into centers of faith where burdens are shared and families support one another.

At the Parish Level: A parish that prays together stays united in purpose. When the entire community of Holy Family, Lulamba Parish uplifts one voice in Marian devotion, we invite powerful graces upon our pastoral programs, our youth, our families, and our future growth.

Let Us Walk Together This Month

As we listen to the voices of our young men singing praises to Mary today, let us answer that call by reaching for our own rosaries. Make a daily commitment—even if it is just a single decade—to pray for your family, your neighbors, and our beloved Lulamba Parish.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us as we begin this sacred month!

Embracing Our Lady: Welcome to October, the Month of the Holy Rosary

Holy Family Catholic Church, Lulamba Parish

As we step into the golden warmth of October, our hearts as a parish community turn toward a beautiful and cherished tradition in the Catholic Church: October is dedicated as the Month of the Holy Rosary.
For generations, the faithful have gathered in our homes, Small Christian Communities, and church grounds during this month to hold the beads, meditate on the mysteries of Christ, and seek the powerful intercession of Our Blessed Mother. But why October? And why is this simple yet profound prayer so vital to our spiritual lives?
Why October is the Month of the Rosary
The designation of October as the Month of the Rosary is deeply rooted in the history and liturgical life of the Church. The pivotal moment came in the 16th century during a time of great peril for Christendom, when Pope St. Pius V called upon all of Europe to pray the Rosary for protection and peace.
On October 7, 1571, a miraculous victory was achieved at the Battle of Lepanto. Crediting the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Pope established the feast of "Our Lady of Victory"—later known as Our Lady of the Rosary. Because this major feast falls on October 7, the entire month naturally became dedicated to honoring Mary through her favorite prayer.
Furthermore, October sits at a turning point in the year. As the seasons shift, we turn to Mary, our spiritual mother, to anchor our families and our community in prayer, trusting in her constant guidance.
What is the Holy Rosary?
At its core, the Rosary is a scriptural prayer. When we pray the Rosary, we are not merely repeating words; we are meditating on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ through the eyes and heart of His mother. Pope St. John Paul II called the Rosary his "favorite prayer," describing it as a compendium of the Gospel.
The Rosary guides us through four sets of Mysteries:
The Joyful Mysteries (Monday and Saturday): The incarnation and early life of Jesus.
The Luminous Mysteries (Thursday): The public ministry and life of Christ.
The Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesday and Friday): The passion and death of our Lord.
The Glorious Mysteries (Wednesday and Sunday): The resurrection and the triumph of grace.
Each decade invites us to step into these moments of salvation history, letting the rhythm of the prayers calm our anxious hearts and align our wills with God's.
An Invitation for Holy Family, Lulamba Parish
As parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church, Lulamba Parish, let us make this month special. Named after the Holy Family of Nazareth, our community is called to model love, obedience, and deep faith. When we pray the Rosary, we invite Mary directly into our homes, our struggles, and our joys.
Pledge to Pray: Try to gather your family or neighbors at least a few times a week—or even daily—to pray a single decade or a full Rosary together.
Bring Your Intentions: Lay your personal burdens, family needs, and the specific growth of our Lulamba Parish community at the feet of Our Lady.
Join Parish Devotions: Participate actively in our community and block rosary gatherings as announced at church.
May Our Lady of the Rosary wrap Holy Family, Lulamba Parish in her mantle of protection, guiding us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ, throughout this holy month and always.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

🎶 A JOYFUL MOMENT AFTER MASS 🎸✨

Today, as we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Archangels St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael, our parish family gathered in prayer, worship and thanksgiving.

But the joy did not end with the final blessing! 😊🎶

After Holy Mass, Fr. Justin Chikontwe joined our parish instrumentalists for a spontaneous and joyful moment of music and fellowship. With guitars, music and joyful hearts, they created a simple but beautiful moment that captured the warmth and joy of our parish family. 🎸🎶❤️

It is moments like these that remind us that the life of the Church is not only found in the liturgy, but also in the joy, friendship, fellowship and togetherness we share as one family in Christ.

A beautiful moment of music, fellowship and joy after Mass. ❤️🎶

May St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael continue to intercede for and guide our parish community.

Faith. Fellowship. Music. Joy. One Family in Christ. 🙏🏽🎶

🎶 THE BEAUTY OF WORSHIP IN OUR OWN LANGUAGE 🙏🏽❤️

Today, as we celebrated the Feast of St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael, our parish was blessed with a beautiful celebration of faith, unity and worship.

Leading us in song during today’s Holy Mass was the combined choir of St. Michael Choir and St. Raphael Small Christian Community (SCC). Their voices came together beautifully to lead the congregation in prayer and praise.

Here is a special moment from the Sanctus — “Holy, Holy, Holy” — sung beautifully in our local language. 🎶🙏🏽

There is something truly special about hearing the Holy Mass prayed and sung in the language of our people. It brings our faith close to home and allows our culture and traditions to become part of our worship.

A beautiful reminder that when we come together, our different gifts and voices can become one joyful offering to God. ❤️🎶

One faith. One community. One voice. One praise.
