DORCAMO INDUCTION CEREMONY

The service held at Chingola Central Congregation on 8th February 2026 was a powerful and uplifting experience, focusing on faith, leadership, and service. The event marked the induction of new Dorcas workers and the charge to Dorcas workers and Adventist Men Organization from the 3 districts under Northwestern Zambia Conference: Chingola East, Chingola Central, and Chingola North. The service began with an opening song, Local Hymn #81, led by Sr. Mukatasha Hellen, Chorister, followed by an opening prayer by Pastor Kababa Raymond. Pastor Manda introduced the Conference Leaders, and the Dorcas workers from Chingola East Mission District presented a special song, "The great work done by woman" (Luke 7:36). The main preacher, Pastor Lameck Musonda, delivered a powerful sermon, and the service concluded with a closing song, #79. Pastor Manda took the charge and passed it to the Dorcas workers and Adventist Men Organization from the 3 districts under Northwestern Zambia Conference. Gifts were presented to the new Dorcas workers from friends and spouses, symbolizing support and appreciation for their new roles.
Pastor Davis Ndonji, the Northwestern Zambia Conference Executive Secretary, encouraged the new Dorcas workers and highlighted the upcoming massive baptism under the theme; One Voice 27 Mission for all.
The vows were conducted by Sr. Violet Mwansa, while Florence Musonda led the pledge. Sr. Shire Chikwama handled the Dorcas uniform and AMO, and also gave a talk on the functions of a leader. Sr. Banda Elass discussed the roles of a Secretary, and Sr. Florence Musonda covered the roles of a Treasurer.
The attendance for the service was as follows:
- Chingola East Mission District had 312 old members and 30 new members, totaling 342 attendees.
- Chingola Central Mission District had 93 old members and 14 new members, totaling 107 attendees.
- Chingola North Mission District had 333 old members and 28 new members, totaling 361 attendees.
- In total, there were 738 old Dorcas workers present in support, and 72 new members were inducted as Dorcas workers, with 810 attendees from the Dorcas organization.
- The Adventist Men Organization (AMO) had 93 new members and 60 old members, totaling 153 members.
- The total attendance for both Dorcas and AMO was 963 members.
Pastor Elvis Sichiweza, the Host Pastor, gave the closing remarks and closed the program with a song, Local Hymn 136. The service was a moment of celebration and dedication, as 72 new members were inducted as Dorcas workers. The event was a testament to the commitment and dedication of the members of the 3 districts under Northwestern Zambia Conference.
