‎A covenant with God is a commitment to depend on Him, surrender your life to Him, and walk in obedience to His will. Being in covenant with God is important because it brings progress in your life.
‎
‎As a Christian, when you make a covenant with God, you are burying your past and surrendering yourself to Him. You also become established by God, and no power can bring you down.
‎
‎In Ezekiel 37:26, God said, “I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.” This highlights that when you make a covenant with God, you become established in Him, choosing His peace and abiding in His everlasting presence.
‎
‎Education, for example, can provide knowledge and understanding, but it cannot give the peace that comes from God. True peace, direction, and spiritual fulfilment come from God Himself.
‎
‎Making a covenant with God means acknowledging that there is nothing you can do without Him. However, a covenant made with man does not represent the will of God because anything that is not of God can negatively affect your life.

‎The covenant you make with God is a declaration against that evil foundation, allowing you to surrender yourself fully to God and become established in Him.
