Boys’ Brigade is a Christian inter-denomination youth organization with the view to help boys lead a better life in the community and understand Christian life. It was founded on 4th October, 1883 at a Free College Church Mission North woodside Road, Glascow by Sir William Alexander Smith. The Object of Boys’ Brigade is to advance Christ’s kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedienc

e, reverence, discipline, self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.

8th Chingola Boys’ Brigade was officially enrolled on 1st june, 1980 under the leadership of Reverend Mulenga Richard with eight (8) junior section boys, twenty-two (22) company section boys and four (4) warrant officers, and with Mr Maxwell Simukoko as the officer In-Charge who came on transfer from 6th Chingola (Lulamba UCZ). The first chaplain was Reverend Mulenga Richard, first captain was Mr Dennis T Kela (Lt), first staff sergeant was Mr Sikazwe Kapembwa Yambala.
