Word of the Day | by Pastor John Mulenga

– God wants us to be made whole
– Just as Jesus died and took away all our sins, He wants us to follow Him and surrender our lives to Him
– Jesus is knocking at the door and it is up to us to open the door and allow Him into our lives
– Let us give ourselves fully to God and follow Him
– We need to check ourselves to inherit the Kingdom of God
– We need to work on the little things that have made us fail to concentrate on God's word
– Be sensitive not to fall into the traps of the enemy
– Give yourself to Jesus and let Him work in their lives
– Open your hearts for God to work in your life and allow Him to change you
– Remain steady and act upon the word of the Lord, the message of truth you have received knowing that the Lord will pour out his blessings
– Love one another and be faithful for a child of God should be joyful
– Stand firm and do the will of God just like Peter after receiving and being filled with the Holy Spirit

Revelation 3:18-22 NIV‬
[18] I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. [19] Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. [20] Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. [21] To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. [22] Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

‭1 Peter 5:8-10 NIV‬
[8] Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. [9] Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. [10] And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Pastor John Mulenga encourages the congregation to stand firm and do the will of God just like Peter after receiving and being filled with the Holy Spirit
In reference to the Scripture, Acts 2:14 says, "Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd."

‭2 John 1:6-9 NIV‬
[6] And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. [7] I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. [8] Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. [9] Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

‭Isaiah 38:1 NIV‬
[1] In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

‭Psalms 42:2-3 NIV‬
[2] My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? [3] My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
