🚨Lessons for the Local Church
• Pray eschatologically — keep the day of Christ in view. A congregation that lives toward that horizon will be marked by both urgency and patience.
• Cultivate intelligent love in your discipleship ministry. The church grows into maturity when love and knowledge grow together.
• Pray with confidence because God finishes what he starts. Philippians 1:6 is the foundation of pastoral intercession — God is more committed to the completion of your congregation than you are.
• Make joy the tone of your prayers. Paul prays 'with joy' — even from prison. Joyless intercession is a contradiction of the gospel it presents to God.- Bishop Millan Susan Mambwe
