DEVOTION
Forgiveness takes effort, but God has already forgiven us. We can offer that same grace to others and free ourselves from bitterness, anger, and resentment. Doing so makes space for God's grace, love, and kindness to flow in our lives, and it's better for us and all around us.

PRAYER
Dear God, grant us the willingness and strength to forgive those who have wronged us. Help us to let go of our bitterness and rage, so that we can forgive and make room for love. Amen.

John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

It is through Jesus Christ that we have been qualified as children of God. When we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who did all of this so that we could be saved, we are accepting the new life He has given us. This is a life of redemption; a life as sons and daughters of God, whom we became separated from after the Fall of man. We have now come into a life of righteousness and holiness.

Thank you, Lord, for setting me free from the sin power had over my life. I have chosen to leave my old, sinful self and I am fully focused on walking in the life of righteousness and holiness you have called me to live through your Son. Thank you, Father, that you are always there to reinforce my faith when anyone tries to tell me otherwise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

VERSE
1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

INSPIRATION
If you look at it on paper, it does not make sense why God would even consider us human beings to be his vessels. Human beings were never worthy. With angels and greater creations around, it is deeply humbling to know that God would use us, the unqualified, to carry this precious message. Don’t ever think that you cannot be used as a messenger of God. He has already qualified you.

PRAYER
Dear God, I thank you that in all I do, I have you with me. Thank you for considering me as your child and as a vessel to bring light into the world. Lord I know there are people who may be smarter and stronger than me, but that does not move me. You are the source of my validation, Lord. To you, I am grateful. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Luke 9:13 (KJV) But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

INSPIRATION

The disciples saw only the lack of food and of money, but they forgot the power of God. They had seen so many miracles done by Jesus, and yet, they still did not sense the opportunity for God's glory that lay before them. They forgot that "Little is much, if God is in it."

PRAYER

Teach us, Lord, to believe in your power and not to despair over our present circumstances. We know you can do great things with very little things. We know you delight to work with what is weak, that your strength might be glorified. Amen

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man look down on your youthfulness, but be an example to the believers in speech, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

4:12 “Youthfulness”– Timothy, the leader of the church at Ephesus, would have been younger than many of the Christians there. But God had appointed him to that position, so he must speak the Word of God with authority and not permit anyone to look down on him because he was younger than they.

“Be an example”– something every Christian leader should be (1 Pet 5:3; 1 Cor 11:1; Phil 3:17; 2 Thess 3:7). If he is not a good example he should not be a leader.

“Love...purity”– Paul here lists things essential to a full Christian life. It is not possible to take any one of them away and still have that kind of life. The sad fact is that some preachers show great zeal in one or another of these matters and neglect others.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

INSPIRATION

Today, temptation and the false path is often confused with salvation, which comes in many forms and guises. This ‘salvation’ may for some include the diversions of drugs, s*x, idolatries, consumption, or in the form of false prophets offering quick fixes. Often, the worst perpetrator may even be ourselves once we forget God is in the driving seat. Thus, it is only through Christ’s divination that we may understand true and everlasting salvation in the eyes of our heavenly father. It is only with our faith in the Lord, and not in oneself or other false prophets, that we may find grace.

PRAYER

Our Lord in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, and hallowed be the sacrament between man and your majesty. Lead me not into the temptations of false salvation, or to heed and follow the words of lost prophets. Help me find the courage to strengthen my faith in thee and only thee, my Lord, in whom all true redemption and grace is found. Amen.

VERSE

Colossians 3:17 (KJV) And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

INSPIRATION

Ask yourself honestly how often daily do you consider God in what you do. Is he there only in times of crisis, or in the evening prayer before bed? Incorporating God into our daily lives can be a challenge, especially given the pace of the world around us. But continually try we must, in either our exchanges with others or in doing our best to better the world, in whatever small way we can, each and every day. Next time you donate money to a cause, think of God and pray for its recipients. Next time at mealtime, instead of just a prayer before, thank the Lord after the meal too. These need to be grand gestures, they may simply be little cumulative moments, but in the end, it adds up to a richer life, one wherein the Almighty is always present, incorporated into the very fabric of one's daily routine.

PRAYER

Father who art in Heaven, I thank you for never leaving my side, and pray I may do the same for You. Help me devote my life and soul to Your love, and may You never stray from my thoughts. For You are my rock, O Lord, through which I wish to worship You through all I say and do. For You are the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

Luke 2:10 (KJV) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

(INSPIRATION)
The birth of Jesus, despite where it happened, was the start of something great. The Savior had finally come to the earth. The fulfillment of the prophecies of the old had begun. The restoration of mankind was about to begin. We, children of God, would not be where we are if Christ had not come to earth. This is why we celebrate and we can be thankful in every situation, because of the salvation we received.

(PRAYER)
Dear God, I am so thankful for the fact that I am eternally Yours. Lord, I thank you for what Your son, Jesus Christ, did for me. I would not be able to call You my Father if it weren’t for Christ. Thank you, Lord, for this eternal gift and the heavenly inheritance I can be confident in. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
