THE ANOINTING YOU HONOR IS THE ANOINTING THAT WORKS FOR YOU

One of the greatest spiritual principles in Scripture is the principle of honor. God often releases grace, wisdom, and spiritual impartation through vessels He has chosen. When you dishonor what God has ordained, you close yourself to the very grace you seek. But when you honor God's work in a person's life, you position yourself to receive from that grace.

In Acts 19:13–16, the seven sons of Sceva tried to exercise authority they had not received. They attempted to cast out demons by merely repeating the name of Jesus that Paul preached. The evil spirit replied, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?" They respected the authority behind Jesus and recognized the spiritual weight carried by Paul, but they found no evidence of that same authority in the sons of Sceva. This account reminds us that spiritual power is not borrowed through imitation; it flows from genuine relationship with God and a life yielded to Him.

Honor is not idolizing men; it is recognizing the grace of God upon their lives. Elisha honored Elijah and received a double portion of his spirit (2 Kings 2:9–15). Joshua honored Moses and stepped into leadership after him (Joshua 1:1–9). Ruth honored Naomi and entered a destiny that connected her to the lineage of Christ (Ruth 1:16–17). Honor creates an atmosphere where divine impartation becomes possible.

Many people desire the results of an anointing but refuse the humility, submission, and teachability required to receive from it. They criticize what they should learn from, despise what they should value, and mock what God is using. Spiritual pride has robbed many believers of divine encounters.

If God has connected you to a ministry, a spiritual mentor, or a servant of God, never take that connection lightly. Pray for them, learn from them, and honor the grace God has entrusted to them—not because they are perfect, but because you recognize God's hand upon their lives. Above all, remember that every genuine anointing ultimately comes from the Holy Spirit, and our highest honor belongs to Christ alone.

Prayer: Father, give me a heart that recognizes and honors the grace You have placed upon the lives of Your servants. Deliver me from pride, offense, and familiarity. Help me to walk in humility so that I may receive every spiritual blessing You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
