LET YOUR SPIRIT TAKE THE LEAD

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son… (Romans 1:9).

What a profound statement from the Apostle Paul from the scripture we just read. It shows you where true service to God comes from. It’s not with your body or with your mind. True service to God is with your spirit. The Lord Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

Your fellowship with God is spiritual; therefore, your service must flow from that same source. When you were born again, it wasn’t your body that was changed, and it wasn’t your mind that was recreated; it was your spirit. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

That new creation is your spirit. That’s where the life of God is. This is why a person can be born again and still struggle in certain areas. You may find someone who is short-tempered, easily offended, or still thinking the wrong thoughts. It’s not because he doesn’t have the life of God; it’s because his mind hasn’t been renewed.

That’s why the Bible says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2). Your spirit is already recreated but your mind must be trained to align with the new life in Christ. Your body also must be brought under control. The Bible says, “…present your bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1).

Who does the presenting? It’s your spirit. So, your spirit, being alive to God, must take the lead. From your spirit, you influence your mind. From your spirit, you bring your body into subjection. If you don’t let your spirit take the lead, your senses will. Your feelings will. Your old patterns of thinking will. But that’s not the life you’ve been called to live.

You’ve been called to live from within, from your spirit. That’s where the guidance of the Holy Ghost is. That’s where the life of God operates. Your spirit is a dependable guide because he’s mingled with the Holy Ghost. You’re one with Him: “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). So, let your spirit guide your thoughts and actions. Let him direct and define your responses. That’s how you live the higher life in Christ.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of God in my spirit. The Holy Spirit in me guides my thoughts and actions, being mingled with my spirit. Thus, my spirit is a dependable guide, defining and directing my responses. My mind is renewed by the Word, and I live in dominion, from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*THE CHURCH IS MORE THAN A BUILDING*

_*📖Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in their house... (Romans 16:3-5).*_

When you study the Book of Romans carefully, especially the sixteenth chapter, you’d notice something striking about the early Church. It wasn’t one central congregation; there were several fellowships, different
groups of God’s people meeting in different places, yet all part of the same Church.

This becomes even clearer when you read the opening of Paul’s epistle to the Romans: “To all that be in Rome,beloved of God, called to be saints…” (Romans 1:7). The Churches were spread across many locations with household fellowships and groups of Christians meeting in different homes.

That’s why in Romans 16:3-5, he said greet Pricilla and Aquila and the church that is in their house. Also, in the 10th verse, he said, “…salute them which are of Aristobulus’ household,” and continued in the 11th verse to say, “…Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.” These were not merely families; these were churches, living expressions and extensions of Paul’s ministry. It reveals something profound: the Church is not a building; it’s the people of God.

The early Church was organised as many churches, yet one body. It might have been several gatherings, but
each was alive, active, and connected. The Bible says,“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple,and breaking bread from house to house…” (Acts 2:46). There was a larger gathering, but there were also smaller fellowships where they shared the Word, prayed together, and grew together.

This kind of structure made the Church strong and i ndestructible. Even in times of persecution, it continued to
thrive. You may destroy a building, but you cannot destroy the Church. As long as the people are there, the Church is there. This is why fellowship is so important. Wherever Christians gather in the Name of the Lord, He’s present, and that’s the Church. The Lord Jesus emphasised the power of the smallest assembly when He said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). So, don’t reduce the Church to a location or a structure.

Understand its true nature: it’s the living Body of Christ, expressed through His people, in fellowship, in unity, and in purpose. Be part of that expression. Strengthen it. Build it. That’s how the Church grows, and the Kingdom advances from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a part of the Church, the living Body of Christ. I function actively in fellowship, contributing to the growth and strengthening of others. Through me, your life is expressed, and your Kingdom is advanced today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A “HOLY KISS”—WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you (Romans 16:16).

When the Apostle Paul wrote, “Salute one another with an holy kiss,” he wasn’t introducing a ritual; he was addressing the sincerity of relationships among God’s people. To understand this, you must look beyond the surface. In those days, a kiss was a common form of greeting. But Paul added a qualifier—“holy.” That’s because not every expression of affection is genuine.

The Lord Jesus Himself highlighted this when Judas came to betray Him. The Bible says, “And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him” (Matthew 26:49-50). Judas’ kiss wasn’t sincere. It concealed betrayal. Read Luke’s account: “And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?” (Luke 22:47-48).

This is the context for Paul’s instruction. He was emphasising sincerity, loyalty and truthfulness in our expressions toward one another. Don’t show affection outwardly while harbouring hatred and contrary thoughts inwardly. Express genuine love. Be honest without pretence.

The Bible says, “Let love be without dissimulation…” (Romans 12:9). Let your love not have hidden intentions. This goes beyond physical gestures. It speaks to your entire conduct—how you greet, how you relate, how you respond to others in the body of Christ; there should be no hypocrisy.

As God’s people, you’re called to a higher standard of living and relationship, not one shaped by suspicion or duplicity but by sincerity and truth. You don’t say one thing and mean another. You don’t act one way and think another. Your life must be consistent; your heart, your words, and your actions must align.

Also, you must exercise wisdom. Times have changed, and expressions may differ across cultures. What matters is not the form but the spirit behind it, which is genuine love, expressed with purity and discretion. So, when you show love and affection to others, let it be real. Let it be true. Let it reflect the love of Christ in your heart. That’s what makes it holy.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the love of Christ in my heart. I walk in sincerity, truth and genuine affection toward others. My words and actions are consistent, reflecting God’s nature in me. I express divine love with purity and wisdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

📖TO THE BIBLE - Isaiah 28:16
“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste”

LET’S TALK ➡️
“I know I’m smart, but I keep making silly errors on my tests,” Zoe complained.
Bryan nodded: “Maybe that’s because you’re building on and trusting in your intelligence and not in Christ.”The Prophet Isaiah, in the scripture above, spoke prophetically about the “stone” which the Lord God would lay in Zion, and I want you to observe the way this “stone” is described. First, he refers to it as “a tried stone,” secondly, he calls it “a precious corner stone,” and then thirdly, he refers to it as “a sure foundation.” Being a “tried stone” means it’s been tested and proven; then, as “a precious corner stone” it means it’s the most important stone in the building; while as a “sure foundation” it means you can stake your life on it.

That’s who Jesus is; He’s the only true foundation upon which you should build your life. That’s why He said that in Luke 6:47-49: ”Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”It matters the foundation upon which your life is built.

The Bible says, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11). In school, when exams feel overwhelming; online, when trends and opinions keep changing; with friends, when loyalty is tested; or on the field or stage when everyone is watching—when you build on Christ, you won’t collapse when pressure comes. In the face of adversity, you’ll be unshakable because on Christ the Solid Rock you stand.

Likes, popularity, talent, even academic success can feel solid for a while, but they can shift quickly. Let Christ, the Solid Rock, be the foundation and anchor of your life! Be a doer of God’s Word, for that’s how to build your life on the solid rock. That’s what will
keep you standing when all else fails. That’s what will keep you on the solid foundation of success and prosperity all your life.

Keep Good Company

📖Romans 16:17 ..note those who cause divisions and offenses...and avoid them.!

As God's child, the friends you choose are important. God cares about the people you spend time with, because He wants you to grow strong and live an excellent life. That's why the Bible warns us about bad company: "...bad company corrupts good behavior"; (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Look at Daniel. Even though he lived among people who didn't honor God, he chose friends who loved God and made wise decisions (Daniel 1:8-17). Because of that, he had good company to pray with.

So, choose friends who love God, encourage you to do what is right, and grow in His Word. Good friends help you shine brighter for Jesus every day!

BEYOND GENDER—ONE IN CHRIST

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28)."

The Word of God reveals something profound about your identity in Christ: it transcends natural distinctions. When the Bible says, "there is neither male nor female," it's unveiling a spiritual reality. Your identity in Christ is not defined by your physical body but by your spirit.

In Romans 16:1, the Apostle Paul introduces Phoebe and calls her "a servant of the church." The word translated "servant" is from the Greek "diakonos," the same word used for deacon. This means Phoebe functioned as a deaconess in the church.

Yet, some have tried to reinterpret this, suggesting she was merely a helper, or perhaps the wife of a deacon, or even a widow supported by the church. But the Scripture doesn't say that. They have found it difficult to accept that a woman can function in ministry, teaching or preaching. But the Scriptures are clear.

For example, we're told that Philip the evangelist had four daughters who prophesied: "And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy" (Acts 21:9). The Word says, "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort" (1 Corinthians 14:3). Prophecy is for the Church. It builds, strengthens and uplifts God's people.

That means these women were ministers, speaking forth the Word by the Spirit. Thus, the distinction between male and female pertains to the body, not the spirit. In Christ, your spirit is what defines your identity and your capacity to function. The anointing and grace of the Spirit are not limited by gender.

There are, however, natural and relational structures, especially within marriage. The Bible teaches order in that context. But outside of that union, spiritual function is not restricted by gender. The same Spirit works in all and through all.

The question, therefore, is not whether one is male or female but whether one is yielded to the Spirit. God works through those who make themselves available to Him. So, refuse to interpret Scripture through tradition or human bias. Let the Word speak for itself. In Christ, we're one. And in that oneness, each of us is empowered to function in the grace given to us by God. So, recognise who you are in the Spirit, and walk in the fullness of that calling.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for the truth of Your Word and the revelation of my identity in Christ. I function by Your Spirit, unhindered by natural limitations, expressing the grace You've given me for Your glory. I walk in boldness and clarity, fulfilling my calling in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

“But one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.’“

LET’S TALK ➡️
When some people think of Jesus, they still think of a baby in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes. Others see Him as the gentle Lamb of God that was crucified for us, while to some He is that great prophet of Galilee. Yes, Jesus is the Lamb of God that was crucified on the cross to redeem man from sin; yes, He is that great Prophet of Galilee and was once a baby in a manger, but He is now the “Lion of the tribe of Judah!”

He was slain for the sins of the world as God’s lamb, but He resurrected victoriously, not as a lamb but as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah.” There’s a big distinction between Jesus that was crucified and the resurrected Jesus. The Lord Jesus that we serve is a King-priest! He isn’t some little man struggling with Satan. As a man, with His Adamic perfection, He defeated Satan and all his demons on their own turf, much more now that He’s been glorified.

You’ve been born in the image of the glorified Christ, who is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. In other words, you’re the “lion” in your sphere of contact. That means in your classroom, on your team, in your home, you don’t shrink back in fear. Something about the lion is that when it roars, all other animals scamper in terror. In the same way, the devil and the cohorts of hell flee in terror when you show up. As you roar God’s Word in prayer, and declare faith-filled words, the devil, poverty, failure and sickness flee from you. Glory to God!

Speak God's Word In Faith

You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you...

God has given you His Word to speak things into existence by faith. The Bible shows us that God created the world by His Word, and His Word is powerful and true.

The Bible tells us about Abraham. He was very old and had no children, but God said he would be the father of many nations. Abraham believed what God said and did not doubt. He trusted God, and the promise came to pass (Romans 4:20-21).

You can do the same. When you need help, courage, or anything, find what God says in His Word and speak it in faith. Trust Him and agree with His Word. God is faithful, and He always brings His Word to pass!

*CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART*

_*📖But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; an circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (Romans 2:29).*_

God’s definition of your identity isn’t based on outward signs or experiences but on inward realities, the transformation that has taken place in your spirit. The Bible makes it clear: true circumcision isn’t in the flesh; it’s of the heart, in the spirit. This is the mark of the new covenant—an inward transformation that defines who you are before God.

The challenge for many isn’t the absence of this reality but the absence of its consciousness. You may have something, but if you’re not conscious of it, you may never experience or live in its power. Consider David: he knew he was in covenant with God.That consciousness produced uncommon boldness in him to confront and defeat Goliath.

But Saul, who was king at the time and was head and shoulders above everyone else in Israel, had the same covenant but he lacked the consciousness, and therefore, he recoiled in fear against Goliath. The difference wasn’t in what they possessed; it was in what had dawned on their hearts. That’s the call to you today. You’ve been circumcised in the heart. This isn’t symbolic; it’s a spiritual reality. It’s the token of your oneness with Christ. It’s the seal that you’re the heir of the Abrahamic blessings: “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

This has to dawn on your spirit and be the only perspective from which you reason and view life. Be ever conscious that you carry within you the life of God, the incorruptible, invincible life of divinity. If this isn’t real to you, you may live beneath your privileges;limited in experience, though unlimited in potential. You may be religious, yet ineffective.

But the moment this truth grips your spirit, everything changes: Your thinking aligns with your identity. Your words carry authority. Your life produces results. There’s no seemingly hopeless situation that you can’t change. That’s your heritage as one who’s circumcised in the spirit.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the reality of my new life in Christ. I’m circumcised in the heart, in the spirit, and I live in the full consciousness of this truth. Your life in me is active, and I walk in dominion, growing in grace and in the knowledge of your truth steadily, in Jesus’ Name

PRAY BEFORE YOU SLEEP

Psalm 63:6
When I remember you on my bed, I meditate on you in the night watches.

Prayer is very important, and God listens to us whenever we pray. He is willing to answer us too. The Bible shows that people also prayed at night. During those moments, they poured out their hearts to Him.

Praying at night means taking quiet time to talk to God. Remember, it's quieter at night. So, you can tell Him how you feel, thank Him for His goodness, and tell Him your requests without the noisy distractions of daytime.

Prayer isn't only for daytime. You should pray before you sleep, and trust God to bring whatever you've prayed about to pass. He loves and cares for you, and always hears you when you call on Him!

I pray that all children all over the world live for the Lord, and that they are safe from bad influences in the world, in Jesus' Name.
