Happy Youth Day🇿🇦

Today South Africa celebrates Youth Day. However, as Socrates once said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." If we reflect on the lives of many of our young people and the future that lies ahead, judging by the current situation, our nation should be deeply concerned about the direction in which many of our youth are heading.

Young people are increasingly becoming involved in gun violence, bombings, hijackings, house break-ins, church robberies, substance abuse, and teenage pregnancies. These realities paint a worrying picture of the future.

Ladies and gentlemen, church, and fellow believers, we have a job to do! Today is a day for us to be on our knees, praying that God will disarm the enemy who is using our young people against humanity. Let us pray that the future of our youth will be governed by God and not by the devil. Let us pray that drugs, alcohol, prostitution, and bloodshed will have no place in the lives of our children.

When we think about all these things, surely we realize that we have a responsibility before God. So help us, Lord.

To all the young people of South Africa, Happy Youth Day. With tears of hope for a better future, we celebrate you in Christ Jesus. May God guide, protect, and raise you to become a generation that brings healing and transformation to our nation.

It is my prayer today that you will dwell in the heavenly places, with your mind focused on things above. May the world not corrupt or influence you away from God’s truth, but may you do everything according to God’s Word as your standard and guide. May His wisdom, peace, favor, and protection be upon you throughout this day. Blessed Monday. May God richly bless you and strengthen you in all that you do.🙏🏽
