Compassion and empathy are the heart of God....When he begins to soften our hearts, he makes us become his image...Love is his image... the ability to feel another's pain and hurt, putting oneself in the shoes of another is what God did In Jesus...God emptied himself and became like us, feeling our pains and resisting sin and despair just like us, and then dying the gruesome death on the cross as payment for the sin he did not commit..that is called Love demonstrated!
