Anxiety is not always bad. When there is no anxiety, life can be boring, inefficient, and not much fun. It motivates people and adds zest to life.
Some of us have a master's degree in anxiety. In Mathew 6: 27 Jesus asks the classic, rhetorical question: "And which of you being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?"
Whom among us have ever successfully chewed their fingernails down and discovered it paid the bills? Anxiety has a 0% success rate.
Its like a rocking chair -it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.
When anxiety comes knocking on your door, trying to sell you a subscription to a future disaster that hadn't happened yet.
Take a deep breath and thank Jesus for the grace that is available to you right now. Mathew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Sometimes we treat God like a bad Uber driver-we dont trust Him with the route, so we grab the steering wheel from the backseat.
Thank God for what is going right - even the small things like a cup of coffee. Change the channel in your mind and take steps to find the root of your anxiety and deal with it step by step.
