THE BLESSING IN RESPECT TO YOUR FOUNDATION
Genesis 49:1–4(Anchor Scripture)
Beloved, everybody desires to be blessed.
Every father wants his children blessed.
Every mother desires to see her family prosper.
Every entrepreneur wants a blessed business.
Every pastor wants a flourishing ministry.
But hear this prophetic truth:
Life does not give you what you wish for.
Life gives you what you research, discover and fight for.
You don’t receive blessings by desire.
You receive blessings by revelation.
MAIN REVELATION
1: EXPOSURE TO TRUTH DETERMINES EXPERIENCE
Jesus declared in John 14:6:
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”
Truth is not merely information.
Truth is a Person, Jesus Christ.
But since we cannot physically see Him, we encounter Him through His Word.
John 6:63
“The words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.”
Your exposure to God’s Word determines your experience in life.
• Ignorance sustains bo***ge.
• Revelation produces liberation.
• Understanding activates inheritance.
You cannot fight for what you do not understand.
MAIN REVELATION 2: FOUNDATION DETERMINES MANIFESTATION
Psalm 11:3
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Every life is like a building.
A building does not start from the roof.
It starts from the foundation.
The height, strength, and stability of a building are determined by its foundation, not its decoration.
Many love God.
Many pray.
Many fast.
Yet some struggle repeatedly.
Why?
Because behind what is not working… something is greatly at work.

Jacob gathered his sons to bless them.
The firstborn, Reuben, expected a double portion.
By tradition, he was entitled to:
• Leadership
• Authority
• Honor
• Double inheritance
But instead of blessing, he heard:
“Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel.”
The grace to excel was withdrawn.
It was spoken naturally, but it manifested spiritually.
Years later, his descendants began diminishing.
That is the power of foundation.
WHEN A SPIRITUAL FATHER REVERSES A FOUNDATION
Deuteronomy 33:6
Moses later declared:
“Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.”
This was not a mere statement.
It was a spiritual injunction.
What was spoken years earlier was now being challenged.
(Declarations by Bishop) I declare over you today:
You will live and not die.
You will not diminish.
You will not be stripped of your inheritance.
WHAT IS FOUNDATION?
Foundation refers to:
• Your background
• Your lineage
• Your spiritual history
• Words spoken over your destiny
• Covenants made before you were born
Lamentations 5:7
“Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.”
Sometimes what you are fighting did not start with you.
But hear this clearly:
You are not your father.
You are not your mother.
Your case is different.
THREE PROPHETIC TRUTHS
1️⃣ Blessings Can Be Transferred
When a blessing is spoken, generations benefit.
Judah received a word of kingship, and centuries later, Jesus came through Judah.
2️⃣ Words Create Realities
Spiritual pronouncements are not empty sounds.
They establish spiritual patterns.
3️⃣ What You Refuse to Confront Will Confront You
The part of scripture you ignore may become the battle you fight.
HOW TO DEAL WITH FAULTY FOUNDATIONS
1. Hear the Word
No one is saved without hearing the Gospel.
Likewise, no one is delivered without revelation.
2. Believe the Word
Revelation must become conviction.
3. Speak the Word
What Moses spoke reversed history.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
Lift your voice and declare:
• Every evil pronouncement over my life is revoked in the name of Jesus
• Every inherited limitation is broken in the name of Jesus
• I disconnect from myself from destructive foundations, in the name of Jesus
• I receive the blessing of the Lord in the name of Jesus
• I will excel, I will flourish, I will not diminish in the name of Jesus
