Matthew 6:1-4
1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly

This is a me, myself and I problem, people love pride and honour.... People love to praise themselves before others, they love the glory that is attached to it.

When we do good deeds, we do it unto the glory of God, not unto man. Social media is a big problem today as people love to put things online. Be careful of this trap, satan rebelled against God because of pride, what happened to him, he was kicked out of Heaven.

When serving someone, do it for the glory of God, do not make it public....

One has to love outreaches churches do, they go out to serve, but the camera is always in the background capturing everything, rather leave the camera at home and concentrate on serving.

All honour, praise and glory belongs to God and God alone....

Word for today:

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Very interesting words from Jesus, many times throughout the New Testament when Jesus healed (physically and spiritually) someone, He always said "you are healed, go and sin no more...."

If we God's children we are a new creation, we make the choice not to sin anymore, but if you continue to sin there are consequences to that sin.

This is why each one of us should be led by the Holy Spirit in all things, the Holy Spirit will warns us if we are going to sin, that still voice in the back of your head, ask God to help on a path of righteousness, we will never be perfect, we strive with the help of the Holy Spirit to live our lives as God intended for us.

Exodus 35:30-35
30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, .....

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

If one lacks wisdom, understanding and knowledge, one needs to come before the Lord and just ask for it.

God gives us wisdom, knowledge, understanding, abilities,.... God leads us through life one step at a time, we need God in all aspects of our lives, we can not do anything without Him, we need to submit to Him fully without question, God knows what is best for us...

Yes we will have our ups and downs, but God leads us through everything, we need to trust Him fully... So if you are going through a difficult time, call upon the Lord and ask for wisdom, knowledge and understanding why you are going through this...

Regardless if you are going through a good or bad time in your life, praise Him........

Word for today:

Exodus 26:33 And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.

In the Old Covenant one sees that only the high priest could go into the Holy of Holies, this happened only once a year. This veil symbolized the separation between God and sinful humanity.

When Jesus died on the cross for us the veil tore in half.

Matthew 27:50-51
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Mark 15:37-38
37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

What does this mean for us, now, all believers have direct access to God's presence through Jesus, not just priests through elaborate rituals.

This is a privilege that we have access to God at any time, so make the time to commune with God, talk to Him, listen to what He has to say....

If you do not believe in Jesus, call upon His name, He is waiting patient to hear from you and He will answer you, believe me it is well worth it
