Silence the noise in my mind Lord and open the eyes of my heart, i want to see you.

Because God loves you so much, sometimes He makes you wait for another season, while perfecting your character, perfecting your Faith, delivering you from Idolatry so that He can hand over to you a multi million dollar investment, a high paying job, a lucrative business, a great family, a loving wife or husband, or well behaved children And they will not become a god to YOU!

He couldn't do that 5 years or 10 years ago but He hasn't forgotten! Your season is coming, enjoy the process.

God is speaking- LISTEN!!

Let us pray: Lord, help me to live with open eyes and an open mind, so that i can see and hear you today. Amen!

The reason we often don't recognise God's voice is not for His lack of revelation, it's because of our lack of attention! Generally, our spiritual eyes and ears are shut, but when we decide to live with an openness to God, we will perceive Him- EVERYWHERE!

Jesus committed his spirit to God and so should we. Jesus’s pain and sacrifice were for a better purpose, to bring others closer to the Father. We can also commit our trials and tribulations, knowing God can use them for greater purposes and bring others closer to God.
This shows his allegiance and willingness to follow God’s plan. The commitment by Jesus encourages followers to do the same, pledge their spirits to God. The phrase also highlights the importance of using Scripture and God’s word. The Bible’s words aren’t simply black or red ink on a page. The verses are the living, breathing word of God.

Christ has overcome. He has won the victory, and that through Him, we, too, are more than conquerors. we’ve been set free.
They mean He paid the price on our behalf.
there’s nothing we could ever do outside our relationship with Christ to earn God’s favor or love. He offers us a free gift.
the way is cleared.
we don’t have to live under the weight of condemnation, guilt, or shame.
there’s forgiveness through Jesus.
we have purpose, hope, and eternal life through Him.
we are loved more deeply than we could ever imagine.

In his final moments on the Cross, we see Jesus submitting himself to very human, vulnerable feelings of emptiness and need both in body and spirit. He allows himself to be brought to the pit of all thirst. He feels bodily thirst as he’s pushed to his limits near death. His body is laid bare for all to look upon, spit upon, and mock.

Jesus is groaning for something greater and even more significant in these final words before death: he is thirsting for souls. He thirsts for all those far from his reach to hear his cry and give him relief- relief flowing from a hopeless soul who makes an act of trust in his mercy.

He was enduring far more than physical discomfort. He was enduring hell for you and me.

Jesus endured the separation that you and I deserve; in turn, you and I receive the righteousness of Christ.
No matter how deep the valley, how dark the night, or how devastating the trial, we can face it knowing that Christ bore separation from God on our behalf. He was forsaken that we might draw near.

His provision for Mary was precise. When Jesus laid down His role in the mother/son relationship, He gave her a new son. Mary, a widow in her forties or fifties, would have had little ability to meet her own financial needs. But by saying “this is your son” rather than “this is your caretaker” Jesus provided family. He gave her someone who would not only provide for her, but cherish her.

Jesus took care of Mary. And He takes care of you.

The criminal who received this amazing promise was hours from death. He could not do anything to atone for his sin, yet he was guaranteed to be in paradise, the dwelling place of God, that same day. There would be no waiting room or purgatory after death but an instant entrance into eternal bliss. How could this be?

The interaction between the Lord Jesus and that criminal is instructive for all of us, as it teaches the nature of God’s salvation.

This intercession is not only for those who sentenced and crucified Jesus but for all of humanity, a people who have no insight into the profound mystery of God's salvation. Jesus speaks these words not as a request but with divine authority. Their great sin would have still been forgiven them had they repented. Indeed, one of the soldiers did repent and is considered a saint in some churches.

Jesus provides the ultimate forgiveness prayer for us to follow. How in the world are we to not forgive someone when Jesus is literally bleeding and desperate for breath as he lifts his beaten and broken body up on the spikes in his feet and in his wrists, and the first words He says are for forgiveness?
What excuse do we have not to forgive those whom we feel have done us wrong? With Jesus’ simple yet powerful prayer, we have a model for how to respond when we’re offended, betrayed, scorned, and wronged.

It’s easy to live in the forgiveness that Jesus died for but hard sometimes to pass it on to others. We are to be mindful, particularly in this season but also afterward, of what Jesus chose to say from the cross. May we follow in His example.

The seven last words of Jesus on the cross reveal Jesus's love, forgiveness, and ultimate sacrifice, demonstrating his humanity and divinity as he faced death. They are words of Forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, Distress, triumph, and reunion.
