Jesus' Most Precious Gift

“How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
LUKE 11:13
I Have Nothing
“Lord, teach us to pray!” the disciples pleaded. They saw how Jesus connected daily with His Heavenly Father and longed for the same power in their own lives.

Jesus responded with a memorable prayer lesson in three parts: the Lord’s Prayer, the parable of a friend coming at midnight, and—in climax—the need to continually request the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:1-13).

In the parable (verses 5-8), a man has nothing to feed a visitor who arrives late in the evening. The man hurries to his neighbor and asks for bread to feed the visitor, explaining, “I have nothing.” He continues asking until at last he receives bread to share with his guest. In this story we see that we have to come to Jesus in order to have something to share with others. When we want to pass on the Bread of Life, we often realize that we have nothing to give!

Then Jesus links the problem in this parable (I have nothing) with our need to request the Holy Spirit: “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you” (Luke 11:9).

Jesus Invites Us: Keep Asking
Here in Luke 11, Jesus emphasizes 10 times that we should ask for the Holy Spirit in our lives. I know of no other passage where He so lovingly urges us to take something to heart.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:9-13).

*He's still in control*

_*Isaiah 43:2* When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze._

Good and bad days exist in this journey called life, but above all God promised to carry us through. He will not allow us to break, despite the storms we go through, He promised to be there for us. He is the present help in times of trouble. He will never leave us nor forsake us. The enemy may set traps for you and your families but God will preserve you. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. God will come through for you, no matter how hard and tough things are. He makes a way where it seems there is to be no way. He is the way out provider. Run to Him and be safe.

From the beginning of the great controversy in heaven it has been Satan's purpose to overthrow the law of God. He accomplished that when he entered into rebellion against his creator and though he was cast out of heaven he has continued the same welfare upon the earth. To deceive men and lead them to transgress God's law. JAMES 2:10 " he that offends in one point manifest contempt for the whole law which means if you stumble at one you're guilty of all.
God's holy word which has been handed to us at such a cost of suffering and blood is but little valued. Few people who read the bible yet it is within the reach of all and it is the guide of life .Rejecting the truth is rejecting the Author himself.
God forbids dishonest , lying sexual immorality coveting lying and defrauding . Satan can appear as the angel of light to deceive many yet at the end his purpose is to destroy .Satan works through elements to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows😏. As he suffered to afflict job how quickly flocks and herds, servant ,children, houses were swept away , one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. But it is God that shields his creatures and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. He withdraws his blessing from the earth and remove his protecting care from those who are rebelling against his law and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. Satan is at work now in accidents and calamities by sea or land .HE IMPARTS TO THE AIR A DEADLY TAINT AND THOUSANDS PERISH BY PESTILENCE. Destruction will be upon both men and the beast. Isaiah 24:4,5
And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils.

Rev 12:17
And the dragon was enraged with the woman and he went to make war with the rest of his offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Good day Saints
God First
Created To Be A Steward
Genesis 2: 15 " The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
Adam is given the task to steward the garden.
Our context in this verse its before the entrance of sin.
Work is part of our stewardship responsibility. Be it hard work or smart work, work must take place.
Work is life and life is work.
There are some Christians who think that prayer is a substitute for work. This is a wrong and unbiblical theory and thought.
Even in the wilderness when Israel was given manna, they had to get up and work. Manna was not put in their mouths, neither was it put in their tents. They had to wake up early to go and gather it. Otherwise it would melt before they got it. They had to measure (v 16). God would not have them eat without working.
Prayer has made some Christians lazy.
Jesus was working while on this earth.
In John 5:17 He says, "My Father is working until now, and I myself I'm working."
If God and Jesus are working until now, who are we not to work.
As good stewards let us go out today and work. Let us not spend the day wiling out time. At our work places let us WORK.
In our gardens let us WORK
In our businesses let us WORK.
In our church responsibilities let us WORK.
Make it your decision today to WORK WORK WORK.
Good day and keep blessed
