ALLOW GOD TO DO A WORK IN YOU BEFORE HE DOES A WORK THROUGH YOU
A fruit tree doesn't produce fruit overnight. Before the harvest, there's hidden work — roots absorbing water, leaves capturing light, cells converting energy into growth. Every stage matters.
The same is true of you.
We often ask God to work through us — to open doors, to elevate us, to use us — but we resist the work He wants to do in us. Yet Scripture reminds us:
"For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose." — Philippians 2:13
Before He can use you, He must refine you:
"If anyone purifies himself from anything dishonourable, he will be a special instrument set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work." — 2 Timothy 2:21
David was anointed king as a shepherd boy — but before the throne came the sheep. Before Goliath came the lion and the bear. Before the palace came the preparation:
"Your servant has been tending his father's sheep… The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine." — 1 Samuel 17:34, 37
And when the giant finally fell, David knew whose battle it was:
"You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty… for the battle is the Lord's." — 1 Samuel 17:45, 47
Because in the end, it was never about David's strength.
Trust the seasons. Surrender to the Spirit. Let Him purge, purify and prepare you.
