FAITH OVER FEAR – Daily Encouragement
Today's Word: Faith cancels fear.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Hey there, friend 👋
Have you ever felt paralyzed by fear? Maybe it’s the fear of failure, the unknown, or simply not being good enough. Fear whispers lies, but God speaks truth — and His truth says you are not alone and you are not powerless.

Here’s the truth:
Faith doesn’t deny the reality of fear — it overcomes it. Fear is a shadow, but faith is the light. When we choose to believe in God's promises even when our knees shake, we're walking in real courage.

💡 Faith Over Fear Thought:
You may not control what comes against you, but you can control what lives within you. Let faith be louder than fear today.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, fear has often tried to take control of my heart. But today, I choose faith. I trust You are with me, empowering me, and guiding me. Fill me with courage and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌄 RISE UP with the Word — Today’s Teaching

Topic: When You Feel Like Giving Up…

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

Life gets hard sometimes. The burdens feel too heavy. The dreams seem too far. And giving up feels easier than pressing on.

But God didn’t create you to crawl — He created you to soar.

The same God who brought light out of darkness and life from the grave is the One who lifts you when your strength is gone.

So today, don’t quit.
Breathe. Pray. Trust. And Rise Up.

Your breakthrough might be just one prayer away, one more faithful step closer.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, when I feel tired and discouraged, remind me that You are my strength. Help me to rise up, again and again, with faith in You. Amen.

1 Peter 2:18: Slaves, be willing to serve your masters. Do this with all respect. You should obey the masters who are good and kind, and you should obey the masters who are bad.

Without doubt, we live in a brutal world. We’d like to believe, for instance, that slavery was eradicated long ago. But according to the World Economic Forum, as of 2021 there were over 50 million people globally living in conditions of modern slavery. 50 million!

The very concept of slavery is patently abhorrent and yet it’s been a fact of life pretty much for all of human history, which I guess sets the scene for this somewhat puzzling Bible verse:

1 Peter 2:18 Slaves, be willing to serve your masters. Do this with all respect. You should obey the masters who are good and kind, and you should obey the masters who are bad.

I mean, what do you do with that? Why isn’t this alleged God of love railing against slavery, instead of telling slaves to obey even masters who are bad? If God is indeed God, what in the blazes is He trying to say here?

Well, in the first-century Greco-Roman world slavery was common and many early Christians were, in fact, slaves. So this speaks into the social realities of the time. Christianity didn’t immediately set out to abolish slavery, but rather sought to transform the lives of believers within those existing social structures.

Perhaps you’re being treated unjustly at the moment. Perhaps it’s not within your power to change your circumstances. God’s call here, to you and to me, is to live a good life anyway; to exhibit exemplary behaviour, no matter what our situation may hold.

Do this with all respect. Because that’s what Jesus did for you.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
