Denis Sommer “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.3.16-17.NKJV

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Live from Who You Are

Jesus has called us 💡 light.

We are not trying to emanate what we aren’t.

Child of God you are light.

You bring clarity you bring order.

Jesus Christ has told us let us so shine that men around us can see your light in your works.

So we don’t take credit from our works because they illuminate from our being which has been given to us by Christ.

We are sons of light and sons of the day.

So let’s shine ✨ shine bright.

Love you Pastor Denis Sommer

“```For as he thinks in his heart,``` so is he. ```“Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.”Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What Are You Thinking 🤔?

What You Think 💭 Is who you Are.

We must deal with the our thought patterns.

Paul asks us to renew our minds for us to see transformation.

We can only renew our minds by applying our hearts (minds ) to instruction from the word of God
Proverbs 23:12

Decide to think think this way

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV

“Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV

“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭26‬ ‭NKJV

One Of the lies we have followed for so long and and made a lie a truth while it is a lie is *to follow your heart.*

God has said the heart is deceitful, so as Children of God we don’t follow our hearts that is trusting yourself and choosing to rely on your ability.

The word of God reminds us that the way of man is not in him.

Meaning we need to depend on Gods wisdom and direction.

Our Liberties Are not for Vice……..

“as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is the maturity God is calling us to as ministers Of God. Whatever we have has been entrusted to us, we are stewards and need to be found Faithful.

The wrong understanding makes you think you own what you have and choose to exercise your self from a selfish vantage point.

*ENDLESS BROOKS IV*

Evan Roberts was the young preacher at the heart of the Welsh revival. At the height of this revival, the spirit of transformation swept across the country, closing bars and movie theatres, and turning prostitutes into Bible teachers.

It is said of him that ‘he carried the ability to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit as almost a tangible force.’

But the story of this prayerful man has a sad ending. Towards the end of his life, Evan was virtually a forgotten man. The revival lasted about a year, yet Evan himself died at seventy-two, having utterly disappeared from public life in the intervening years.

Several factors may have contributed to the drying of this brook, but I wish to emphasize one – his relationship with Mrs. Jessie Penn-Lewis.

As recorded by Roberts Liardon in his 'God's Generals', she is said to have been a controversial preacher whose doctrine had turned her into an outcast in Wales. In the name of helping Evan recover from the pain and disillusionment he had suffered at the hands of his critics, Mrs. Jessie spirited Evan away from Wales, the place of his call, to England.

Liardon further narrates that she denounced his spiritual gifts until he was convinced that the supernatural operations he had experienced could not have been from God. To add insult to injury, she selfishly agreed to a decision from medical advisors for Evan never to undertake pulpit ministry again.

If these assertions are true, then there is a fundamental lesson therein for us. Be careful, child of God, who you bring into your inner circle. Some people, no matter how well-meaning, can bury your destiny.

You must discern who should be kept close and who can be loved from afar. This wisdom will keep your brooks flowing.

Hallelujah!

*FURTHER STUDY:* 1 Corinthians 15:33; Proverbs 13:20

*GOLDEN NUGGET:* Be careful, child of God, who you bring into your inner circle. Some people, no matter how well-meaning, can bury your destiny. You must discern who should be kept close and who can be loved from afar.

*PRAYER:* My loving Father, I thank You for this word. I understand the importance of the call upon my life. Because I do, I apply wisdom in all my relationships. The Spirit of discernment works in me and defines my associations, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fasting Drives Away Doubt

'And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.'
- Mark 9:29

Prayer and fasting do not drive certain demons out. If the name of Jesus and faith in His name won't do the job, then fasting and prayer won't either. Jesus is saying that fasting and prayer are the only ways of casting out this type of unbelief.

An unbelief that comes as a result of ignorance can be done away with by receiving the truth of God's Word (Rom. 10:17; 2 Pet. 1:4). However, the unbelief that hindered the disciples in this case was a 'natural' type of unbelief. They had been taught all of their lives to believe what their five senses told them. They were simply dominated by this natural input more than by God's supernatural input (God's Word). The only way to overcome this unbelief that comes through our senses is to deny our senses through prayer and fasting.

Fasting accomplishes many things. One of the greatest benefits of fasting is that through denying the lusts of the flesh, the spirit man gains ascendancy. Fasting was always used as a means of seeking God to the exclusion of all else. Fasting does not cast out demons but rather, it casts out unbelief. Fasting is beneficial in every aspect of the Christian life - not only in the casting out of devils.

The real virtue of a fast is in humbling ourselves through self denial (Ps. 35:13; 69:10), and that can be accomplished through ways other than total abstinence. Partial fasts can be beneficial, as well as fasts of our time or pleasures. However, because appetite for food is one of man's strongest drives, fasting from food seems to get the job done the quickest. Fasting should be a much more important part of our seeking God.

The Principal Of Observation.

““Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In our theme Scripture we see God instructing his people while in the wilderness as they prepare to enter the promised land with the principal of observing all the commands he had given them and he adds a reward of living, multiplying and the power to go in and posses the land he had swore to their fathers.

Today I want to share with you this principle that still applies to the New Testament believers in how we relate with God and his word the principal of observation, the Hebrew word of observation is shâmar which carries different meanings among are : to properly hedge about (as with thorns), that is guard; generally to protect, attend to etc
It also means be aware of , regard, look narrowly, watch..etc

Among the meanings that I felt a need to give serious attention is the one of “to hedge about” , As a child of God how you hedge about the word of God matters, remember the word of God is compared to a seed and needs to be nurtured to grow and bring results in your life. David says your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11

We see that if you will live and multiply you need to learn to hedge about the word of God in your heart refuse to let go of what God says and keep in there to the word of God Like a man who has built a hedge about his house, that hedge is to protect himself from intruders and to put a boundary of outsiders. We live in a world where so many spirits speak 🗣️ and utter out voices of confusion you need to hedge about your mind with the word of God and refuse to listen to any demonic voice, voices of unbelief and choose to listen attentively to the word of God and so you will be set on high above all nations, you will live and multiply and see the grace to possess your possessions.

Observe to do the word of God , hedge about (with thorns) the word of God.

‭Luke 18:1 KJV‬
[1] And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Never be to busy to pray
Never be to proud to pray
Never be to weary to pray
Never be to successful to pray.
