Congratulations to , Youth and Chaplaincy Director of the .sid (SID), on successfully defending his dissertation for the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree from Andrews University, with an emphasis in Chaplaincy. We also celebrate the support and partnership of Silindile Moyo Gwatiringa in this remarkable achievement.

His dissertation, “Training Local Pastors for Effective Hospital Chaplaincy in East Zimbabwe Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church,” is both timely and mission-centered. This qualification strengthens ministry by equipping pastors to provide holistic spiritual care, especially in hospitals and moments of crisis, where people are searching for hope, healing, and the presence of Christ. I have no doubt that he will also shepherd the SID Youth with compassion.

As the SID family, we rejoice that this academic achievement will further empower the mission of the Church through empathetic service, effective pastoral care, and intentional discipleship. May God continue to use Pastor Irvine Gwatiringa in advancing the gospel and preparing people for the soon coming of Jesus Christ.
