Faithfulness is associated loyalty, fidelity, commitment, devotion and consistency. These words are all synonyms of faithfulness.

1. To build anything you need faithful people.
2. To maintain the glory of God we need to remain faithful
3. Faithfulnes is a requirement for us to move from being trusted with little, to being trusted with plenty.
4. The blessing of God follows faithfulness

Remembering to serve the Lord in the days of our youth!

John 15:4
Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. When we remain connected to the vine we will bear fruit. We bring glory to God, as the branches, when we bear fruit.

The fruit that God expects from us are:
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)

"When Morning Comes"

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.—Hebrews 11:1

Good Morning!
Sometimes life can get clouded over by a heavy fog of despair. Our situation may look so dark that we begin to lose hope. But just as the sun burns away a fog, our faith in God can burn away the haze of doubt. Hebrews 11 defines faith as “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (v. 1). The passage goes on to remind us of the faith of Noah, who was “warned about things not yet seen,” yet obeyed God (v. 7). And Abraham who went where God directed—even though he didn’t know where that would be (v. 8).

Though we have not seen Him and cannot always feel His presence, God is always present and will help us through our darkest nights.

Father, thank You for Your promise to walk with us through all of life. In moments of doubt, help us to have the confidence You are in control and we can trust You. Amen

"Faith is the radar that sees through the fog."

In the generations before the great flood, Abel, Enoch, and Noah responded to the spiritual light they had been given. Abel had his sacrifice received by God in worship, Enoch was taken up into heaven without death, and Noah saved his family from the judgment of the flood. Later Abraham and Sarah were called out of their city to a Promised Land and eventually received a much-awaited child of promise. Hebrews 11 lists men and women of faith who received a positive testimony from God as they set an example in spite of difficulty.

How do these stories of faith help you in your walk with God?

"Everything We Need"

Read: 2 Peter 1:1–11
2 Chronicles 15–16; John 12:27–50

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.—2 Peter 1:3

Good Morning!
I often feel completely inadequate for the tasks I face. Whether it’s teaching Membership Classes, or advising a friend, the challenge often seems to be larger than my ability. Like Peter, I have a lot to learn.

The New Testament reveals Peter’s shortcomings as he tried to follow the Lord. While walking on water to Jesus, Peter began to sink (Matt. 14:25-31). When Jesus was arrested, Peter swore he didn’t know him (Mark 14:66-72). But Peter’s encounter with the risen Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit changed his life.

Peter came to understand that God’s “divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3). An amazing statement from a man who had many flaws!

“[God] has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires” (v. 4).

Our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is the source of the wisdom, patience, and power we need to honor God, help others, and meet the challenges of today. Through Him, we can overcome our hesitations and feelings of inadequacy.

"In every situation, He has given us everything we need to serve and honor Him."

Thank You, Father, for giving me everything I need to serve You and encourage others today. May I honor You in all I do. Amen

God promises to provide everything we need to honor Him with our lives.

As Peter conveys God’s provision for godly living (2 Peter 1:3), he refers to Jesus’s transfiguration. Peter, James, and John were “eyewitnesses of his majesty” and “earwitnesses” of the Father’s words (vv., 16-18). Peter notes the “coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power” (v. 16). While the Lord’s coming is our hope of ultimate rescue, the power of Jesus equips us for everyday living. Has God called you to do something for which you feel inadequate? Ask for God’s help to rely on His divine power.

"Privileged Access"

Read: Hebrews 12:18–24 Psalms 49–50; Romans 1

Good Morning!
You have come . . . to the church of the firstborn.—Hebrews 12:22–23

Even though it was just a replica, the tabernacle set up in southern Israel was awe-inspiring. Built life-size and as close as possible to the specifications laid out in Exodus 25-27 (without actual gold and acacia wood, of course), it stood tall in the Negev desert.

I can imagine how fearful the Israelites must have felt as they approached the tent of meeting with their sacrifices each time, knowing that they were coming into the presence of the Almighty God. And the wonder they must have felt, whenever God had a message for them, delivered through Moses.

Today, you and I can come straight to God with confidence, knowing that Jesus’s sacrifice has torn down the barrier between us and God (Heb. 12:22-23). Each of us can talk to God any time we want, and hear from Him directly when we read His Word. We enjoy a direct access that the Israelites could only dream of. May we never take it for granted and cherish this awesome privilege of coming to the Father as His beloved children every day.

Thank You, Father, for this wonderful privilege that Jesus has given us, to be able to come before You knowing we have been forgiven and cleansed by Christ’s blood. May we never forget how big a sacrifice it took. Amen

Through prayer, we have instant access to our Father.

Have a Blessed Day In His Presence!

"The Price of Love"

Read: Isaiah 53:9–12
1Samuel 27–29; Luke 13:1–22

He poured out his life unto death.—Isaiah 53:12

Good Morning!
We might feel the pain of being separated from loved ones, but Jesus felt the ultimate separation when He paid the price of love on the cross. He, who was both human and God, fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy 700 years after Isaiah gave it when He “bore the sin of many” (Isa. 53:12). In this chapter we see rich pointers to Jesus being the suffering Servant, such as when He was “pierced for our transgressions” (v. 5), which happened when He was nailed to the cross and when one of the soldiers pierced His side (John 19:34), and that “by his wounds we are healed” (Isa. 53:5).

Because of love, Jesus came to earth and was born a baby. Because of love, He received the abuse of the teachers of the law, the crowds, and the soldiers. Because of love, He suffered and died to be the perfect sacrifice, standing in our place before the Father. We live because of love.

Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away our sins, have mercy on us, and help us to extend mercy and love to others. Show us how we might share Your love with others today.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice who died to give us life.
