HE POWER OF SEASONS

The season changes. God doesn't.

Last Sunday, we talked about recognizing your season, following Jesus beyond His blessings, embracing commitment, and learning when it's time to serve, sow & sacrifice.

🌱 Spring has come. It’s time to arise, work the field, and sow in faith.

If you missed this message, go watch it now.

“Bad company corrupts good morals…”

Sometimes, our desire to influence someone can slowly become an excuse for allowing them to influence us.

Love people. Pray for them. Point them to Christ. But don’t let their choices lead you into sin.

Guard your heart. Guard your walk. Choose who has permission to influence you.

“Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’” — 1 Corinthians 15:33

DON’T LET YOUR FLESH RULE YOU

Your flesh has desires—but not every desire deserves to be obeyed. Temptation becomes sin when we surrender to the desires of the flesh instead of submitting to the Spirit.

The flesh is hostile toward God; it does not want to obey Him or surrender to His will. So don’t negotiate with what Jesus died to crucify.

Your flesh wants to be satisfied.
The Spirit wants you to be sanctified.

Every temptation is an invitation to choose: will I feed my flesh, or will I obey the Spirit?

Don’t let your flesh rule you. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16

The Impala Lily doesn’t wait for perfect conditions to bloom. It flourishes where many plants cannot. Its beauty isn’t determined by the harshness of its environment, but by the life within it.

As followers of Christ, we’re called to live the same way. The world around us may be dry, difficult, and uncertain, but when our roots are deep in Jesus, we don’t merely survive—we flourish. Your circumstances don’t define your fruitfulness. Christ does.

Stay rooted in Him. Keep seeking Him. In His time, you will bloom where others have withered, becoming a testimony that God’s life is greater than the world’s drought.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord… He is like a tree planted by water… it does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” — Jeremiah 17:7–8 (ESV)

The world tells us to chase more. Jesus tells us to seek Him first.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

God never intended for our lives to be ruled by stress, worry, or anxiety. When we make His Kingdom our priority, He faithfully provides what we need.

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) That abundant life isn’t found in possessions—it’s found in His presence, His peace, and His purpose.

Stop chasing what God has already promised to add. Seek Him. Trust Him. Walk with Him. Let Him take care of the rest.

Grace is not a license to live however we want—it is the power to live how God has called us to live.

We don’t pursue holiness to earn God’s love; we pursue holiness because His grace has already saved us. Grace doesn’t excuse sin—it empowers us to overcome it.

“For the grace of God… trains us to renounce ungodliness… and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives.” — Titus 2:11–12 ✝️
