Dear friends,

I want to take a moment to apologize for the pause in sharing my Psalm readings. Life has been so full lately, and though my heart has remained in worship, time has slipped away from me.

Thank you for your patience and grace. I’ve missed sharing these beautiful moments with you and diving into God’s Word together. I’m thrilled to let you know that a new Psalm reading will be posted tomorrow. I pray it blesses and uplifts you in a special way.

Father God,
Thank You for the gift of Your Word, a wellspring of life and comfort for our souls. In the busyness of life, draw us back to You, our true source of peace. Fill our hearts with Your love, and let it overflow to those around us. As we return to the Psalms, may we be reminded of Your unfailing faithfulness and grace. Bless everyone reading this with Your presence and peace.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will meet you where you are and stir your heart to want to know Him more as we journey through the first two chapters of Psalms together. Remember, at the end of each chapter, I will ask questions along the way so you can meditate on God's word and allow the Holy Spirit to lead.

*I will be reading from the NLT translation, and for copyright purposes, I will be combining the chapters*

Scripture

"So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation." — Genesis 2:1-3 (NLT)

Reflection

The seventh day reminds us that God completed His creation, and He saw that it was very good. God didn't rest because He needed to but to set an example for us. This rest was a way to celebrate the beauty of His creation. In our busy lives, we’re reminded that rest isn't merely stopping; it’s about renewing our souls and focusing on God’s work in our lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of rest. Help me to find peace in knowing that You are in control. As I take time to slow down, remind me of the beauty and completion You bring to my life. May my rest today be a way to honor You and deepen my faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Starting next Monday, we'll dive into the book of Psalms together - a journey through powerful prayers, heartfelt praise, and deep reflections on who God is. Each Psalm will bring us closer to His heart, reminding us of His strength, love, and faithfulness. Let's prepare our hearts for this journey, expecting God to speak to us in a fresh way.

Lots of love

Day 6 - Jacob's Dream

Reading: Genesis 28:10-22

In Genesis 28, Jacob is on a journey and stops to sleep, using a stone as a pillow. In his sleep, he dreams of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, with angels going up and down on it. God speaks to Jacob, reaffirming His covenant with Abraham and promising to be with him wherever he goes.

Reflection: Jacob’s dream reminds us that God is always near, even when we feel alone. God’s promises give us hope and courage to keep moving forward, knowing He is with us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for always being with me, even in times of uncertainty. Help me to see the ways You are working in my life and give me peace in Your presence. Amen.
