led Buddhists in the International Visakha Puja Day on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, at the Johannesburg Meditation Centre in South Africa.

วันพุธที่ 22 พฤษภาคม พุทธศักราช 2567 ตรงกับวันเพ็ญขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 6 พิธีบุญวิสาขบูชานานาชาติเริ่มต้นด้วยการจุดเทียนธูปบูชาพระรัตนตรัยโดยคุณมังกร ประทุมแก้ว เอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงพริทอเรีย พิธีอาราธนาศีล, อาราธนาพระปริตร คณะสงฆ์นำโดยพระครูภาวนาคุณวิเทศ วิ.นำเจริญพระพุทธมนต์และสวดธัมมจักกัปปวัตนสูตร จากนั้นประธานสงฆ์ได้นำเจริญสมาธิภาวนา

ลำดับต่อมาเป็นพิธีทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคีเพื่อสร้างศาลามหาทานบารมี ประธานกล่าวนำโดย กัลฯ ศรัณย์พร เกร็กสัน และ กัลฯ ณัฐกานต์ โบเตส
ประธานเอกนำกล่าวถวายโคมวิสาขประทีป คือ กัลฯ ณัฐกานต์ โบเตส
และประธานเอกพิเศษกล่าวถวายภัตตาหารเป็นสังฆทาน คือคุณมังกร ประทุมแก้ว เอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงพริทอเรีย

ต่อจากนั้น ประธานเอกได้จุดโคมวิสาขประทีปท่ามกลางสาธุชนทั้งชาวท้องถื่นและชาวไทยกว่า 70 ท่าน จากนั้นสาธุชนได้จุดโคมประทีปพร้อมกัน

ประธานสงฆ์นำสาธุชนจุดโคมวิสาขประทีปถวายเป็นพุทธบูชา ต่อจากนั้น ประธานเอก, เจ้าภาพและสาธุชนทุกท่านถวายจตุปัจจัยไทยธรรมพร้อมคณะ

🌺ืVisakha Puja Day Ceremony at Johannesburg, South Africa🌺ื

On Wednesday, May 22, 2567 BE (Buddhist Era), corresponding to the full moon day of the 15th day of the 6th month, the international Visakha Puja Day ceremony was held at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Johannesburg, South Africa.

The ceremony began with the lighting of candles and incense sticks, led by H.E. Mr. Mangkorn Pratoomkaew, the Royal Thai Ambassador of Pretoria, South Africa, followed by the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and the recitation of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutra.

The ceremony continued with the offering of robes to the monks, led by Phrakhrubhavanakunvidhalet, to build a Alns-hall for the monks and laypeople. The chairman, Saranphorn Gregson, and Nattakarn Bothes, delivered speeches, followed by the offering of food to the monks.

The ceremony continued with the offering of robes to the monks, led by Phrakhrubhavanakunvidhet, and the chanting of blessings. The Royal Thai Ambassador and the Acting Sri Lankan High Commissioner then delivered speeches, followed by the offering of food to the monks.

Over 70 Thai and local devotees attended the ceremony, which included the lighting of candles and incense sticks, and the offering of foods and other necessities to the monks.

The chairman, Mr. Mangkorn Pratoomkaew, the Thai Ambassador to South Africa, lit the Vesak candle, followed by over 70 Thai and local devotees. The monks then led the devotees in lighting the Vesak candle as an offering to the Buddha.

After that, the chairman, the host, and all devotees offered alms to the monks, led by Phrakhrubhavanakunvidhet, who delivered a sermon, followed by the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and the offering of food to the monks. The host and devotees also offered food and other necessities to the monks.

Fifteen committees were formed to organize the ceremony, which included Thai and local devotees, as well as volunteers."

ทวีปแอฟริกา เป็นทวีปที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดเป็นอันดับ 2 ของโลก รองจากทวีปเอเชีย ทั้งในด้านของพื้นที่และจำนวนประชากร มีพื้นที่ 30,244,050 ตารางกิโลเมตร รวมหมู่เกาะที่อยู่ใกล้ หรือคิดเป็นพื้นที่ 20.30% ของพื้นดินบนโลก และมีประชากรรวมมากกว่า 800 ล้านคน ใน 54 ประเทศ หรือคิดเป็น 1 ใน 7 ของประชากรทั่วโลก

☀️ก่อนเครื่องจะ Landing มาถึงบรรทัดนี้... ช่างแสนปลื้มปีติมากมายเกินบรรยายที่แม้จะอยู่ในทวีปที่ห่างไกลจากดินแดนพุทธภูมิหลายร้อยหลายพันโยชน์ แต่พระพุทธศาสนายังคงแผ่ขยายกว้างขวางมาถึงทวีปแอฟริกาได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพงดงามสง่ายิ่ง เนื่องด้วยพุทธบริิษัททั้ง 4 ทั้งพระภิกษุ, ภิกษุณี, อุบาสก, อุบาสิกาและสาธุชนได้ร่วมด้วยช่วยกันทั้งแรงกายแรงใจแรงสติปัญญาและแรงทรัพย์เพื่อสร้างวัดวาอารามทั้ง 10 วัด โดยเฉพาะพุทธบุตรที่ได้บวชสร้างบารมีอุทิศตนเพื่อทำหน้าที่ฝึกอบรมตนทั้งศีล, สมาธิ, ปัญญาเพื่อกำจัดกองทุกข์, ทำพระนิพพานให้แจ้งและแสวงบุญสร้างบารมีเป็นต้นบุญต้นแบบให้กับชาวแอฟริกันและชาวโลกเพื่อถางทางไปพระนิพพาน ตามเส้นทางของพระบรมศาสดาสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ผู้เป็นสุดยอดแห่งศาสดาเอกของโลก.
