There are times when a physical ailment will strike us. Be it a diagnosis, a pain or even something like a spider bite. We straight away go into the natural to combat and try to fix it. I am not trying to over spiritualise things, what I am trying to make you see is that we must not ignore or neglect the spiritual side of our life. God made us spirit beings, with a soul that live in a body. So actually we are essentially a spirit being having a physical experience. As a result the spirit world must always be considered and included in any issue and or situation we face.

We must of course do everything we can in the physical to aid with recovery and healing, however we need to, as a priority, include prayer. James 5:16 says that prayers avail much, and should you feel, like we all do, that we are weak alone, don't be too proud to go and ask that christian co-worker, friend or neightbour to pray for you. I have seen in my own life that Ecclesiastes 4:12 is true that 1 can be over powered, but the 3 fold cord cannot be broken. Unity is our strength. Lets pray together and for each other and most of all stand in agreement Matthew 18:19 as this is the most powerful of all prayers.

You are welcome to comment below if you have a prayer request for us to stand with you, or even DM myself of the page. God bless

Keep your eye on the mark and press for the prize that is ALREADY yours, a paraphrase of Philippians 3:14. The enemy gets us so caught up with natural approaches to problems that we forget that most of the issues are "powered" by the spiritual relm.

By way of example you decide you will go deeper into the word with the Lord and start studying towards your bible school diploma. And things go ok the first while because the spiritual world is sitting waiting to see what level of committment you actually have. When they see you are consistant and committed, THEN the attacks start. But not where you think they would be. They might be against your health, they might be against your relationships, but most probably they would be against your finances. Your vehicle to attain that qualification. I challenge you to step back with the Holy Spirit's help and "discern" the real circumstance. Once you have this, stand on God's word and His authority and watch Him fight your battle. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but principalities and powers, and rulers in the dark place Ephesians 6:12.

Be encouraged you are on the winning side. And always remember God is good!

Who do you consider your source? Your job? Your partner? The government? Let me give you a hint, it's none of these. It is the Lord God who is in control and who is your source. Philippians 4:19

Once you have your focus and reliance in the right place, you will react differently when unexpected things happen. You will not go into a panic or have a nervous breakdown, but you go to God and speak to Him. He knows what you need before you even ask or need, and He delights in providing for His children. As a parent does it not warm your heart when your child comes to you and asks you for something that you already know he wants or needs? God is our Father and the exact same applies to Him. Place your faith in Him today and go and talk to Him. You will definitely not be disappointed. Place your faith and trust in your heavenly Father and learn to rest in Him and He will provide through those various avenues. God is good ALWAYS.

I grew up as an only child, and experienced the prejudice and comments. But as a result, I rather enjoyed my own company and became rather self reliant and independent rather early in my life. I was raised in a balanced manner and had to earn my things like any so called "normal" child.

Fast forward to the last 7 years of my mom's life, i was a self-sufficient 31 year old, however with no support system and definitely not the same relationship as I have now with the Lord. My biggest fear was to be alone. Sounds strange I am sure, but it made me behave in many instances in ways foreign to my personality. I would like to encourage you to never think you are alone because the Lord has promised us in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave you. Once you get the full revelation of this, you will never be the same again. I tell you from experience. It takes you from a place of grief and panic to a place of peace and rest. Just ask Him to show you and He will, guaranteed.

In our day-to-day life we all sometimes start taking things like our health and strength for granted. We get shaken up and awakened when things do not go according to our plans, like yesterday when I woke up, expecting to be strong and ready for the day, but instead was greeted with a throbbing migraine and absolutely no strength in my body. Where, why, what did I do that caused this? But it's in times like this where your resolve and priorities are tested. No, I am not saying God my loving Daddy caused it, but Satan certainly is always lurking to test you. I had a choice, lie and feel sorry for myself or challenge myself and get up like normal and go to church. I did the latter based on His inner leading via Isaiah 41:10.

I really questioned myself when I arrived at church as I was feeling very grim but as the time went on I felt a little better. On my way home the heaviness lifted and I praised my Lord for helping me to meet the challenge in the correct way. How are you meeting challenges? Are you trying in your own strength? Or are you relying on His?

It is a silly little personal story but I hope it shows you that our Lord God is interested in helping you in everyday life. From that important parking to how to approach sickness and physical attacks. I would love it if you would post a short testimony below of your victory, as an encouragement to others.

Many years ago, just after I had lost my mom I decided that I no longer had any purpose in life. Rather dramatic and a little cheeky of me to advise the Lord of, but non the less I did. But at the time I did not realise that most of the time God does not make us with only one purpose, but a few interlinked.

The story comes to mind about how our life is likened to a tapestry. If we stand really close to it, as we do when we are looking at ourselves, we never see the big picture, the beauty. What we do see is a tangle of threads and a chaos of colours. Ask the Lord to help you step back and view your own life, if only for a moment from a different point of view.

After a a few years of wasting time in self pity and attempted self destruction, the Lord brought me back to South Africa, and sitting all alone in a rented bedroom in a strangers home I felt the Lord say to me, are you going to trust me now? I had nothing to carry on for and no one who really cared, BUT GOD. Remember God is ALWAYS enough and with Him and you, you are always a majority!! And God is good.

We are living in a fallen and broken world unfortunately. We need to realise this and take note of what our Lord said in HIs word that there will be trouble.John 16:33. But take comfort in the last part of the verse, "I have overcome the world".

No matter how much we plan and try to work things out, The world will throw its best punches at you. How do you react? Do you fall into a heap of little pieces? Or do you go deep inside yourself and beat yourself up from the inside cos you should have known better or reacted differently? You need to realise that there are just somethings that just "are" and you can only manage and be responsible for your own actions and re-actions. Take those situations to the Lord and ask Him to help you with them like in John 14:16 where He has promised to be our advocate and comforter. I am speaking from personal experience so I want to encourage you that with the Holy Spirit as your helper and guide you will manage in this very difficult world much easier than if you were going it alone.

And always remember how much the Lord loves you and did just for you. Invite Him in to help you today and see how your life changes for the better.

I'm too busy!!
Has this every been your cry, excuse or defence to your family, friends or even your boss?
Well in today's social media, info overloaded world, you have to become very discerning to keep your own health and sanity, never mind doing the things that you like or make you happy. Now I am not saying you are not busy, what I am saying is are you choosing what to be busy with or is the "busy" choosing you?

In Romans 12:2 it tells us that we need to be transformed and that we need to test things to find the right way. We need to find our inner peace through the help of the Holy Spirit and assess where we want to spend our most precious resource, our time. Unfortunately we only have so many hours in the day, and if we don't manage our time, it definitely will manage us. Matthew 6:33-34 tells us not to worry past today, we are to live each day to the fullest.

Another important thing to remember is found in 1 John 2:17 where we are told that this world is passing away but God is eternal. So be very careful what current fads, be they social media or health and fitness, they do profit, but only a little in the eternal scope of things. Remember the only thing we can take with us are people, don't neglect them.

Are you making a difference in the world? I don't mean are you inventing a machine that makes time stretch or discovering a way to make breakfast before you wake up. Are you seeing a need around you and trying to meet that, no matter how small?

We were instructed to be the light of the world in Matthew 5:13-16. Being the light entails many things, but what it is not is doing things to be seen by people. It is walking out of the supermarket and seeing someone drop something with full hands and going over and picking it up. Its that stressed colleague at work (that you don't necessarily like) and you make them a cup of tea. Another thought there is that friend who is having a tough time in his/her personal life, do you just send them a message that you thought of them and encourage them?. This is light. In the world they call it "paying it forward" but actually we as children of the Most High God should be setting the trend and example. Be the picture of our Father that the world sees, that might be difference needed and one day you will know how very important that small silent and quiet act was. Try to make it a rule to do at least 2 nice things for people a day, and I promise besides them, it will make a difference in your life as you become a sower.
