Lady in waiting, let me whisper this to you lovingly…🧡
Not every man that says “I see a future with you” has the capacity to build one.
Some men love the idea of you but are not ready for the responsibility of you.
Boaz was not just wealthy, he was intentional. He did not just notice Ruth, he asked questions about her. Men who are serious investigate before they initiate.
The Book of Ruth Ruth 2:5-7 shows us something powerful: Before Boaz spoke to Ruth, he first spoke to the people around her.
Your reputation will enter rooms before your beauty does. The way you treat people matters. The way you carry yourself matters. Character introduces you before you arrive.
Some ladies are praying for kingdom marriages but still dishonor people who cannot benefit them. You cannot be rude to the gatekeepers and expect smooth access to the gates.
And dear Sis… Stop trying to force “wife benefits” to produce “wife commitment.” Many men enjoy access, but only intentional men pursue covenant.
A man can desire your body and still not desire your future. Discernment is knowing the difference.
Also understand this: A Godly man is not only watching how you pray, he is watching how you respond when disappointed, how you handle correction, how you speak when angry, and how you treat people beneath your social level.
Ruth was not chosen because she was loud. She was noticed because she was diligent, humble, consistent, and honorable.
Pray. Grow. Heal. Learn. Become soft without becoming foolish.
And finally… Do not only pray for a Boaz. Pray that when Boaz arrives, you will not still be emotionally attached to Egypt while standing in Bethlehem.
