Grace and Peace Family

This past Sabbath Wendell Smith blessed us with a powerful and insightful lesson The Promise, And The Time Of Its Fulfillment. The scriptures were broken down with great clarity, and we were reminded of the sure hope we have in the fulfillment of God's promises.

To help us carry that message throughout the week here is a new song inspired directly from the lesson When The King Returns.

It is uplifting, rooted in scripture, and created to edify us as we continue to watch and wait for the return of our King. Please take a listen, share it with others, and let it strengthen your walk.

The Ancient Roots of South African Languages 🗣️🌍

Long before South Africa had eleven official languages, the land was home to the San and Khoi peoples, whose click-based languages are believed to be among the oldest spoken on the continent 🏹

Then came one of history's great migrations(The Hebrews). Bantu-speaking farmers, originating from West/Central Africa thousands of years earlier, began moving into the region in waves, arriving in areas of modern South Africa as early as the 11th century 🌾

These migrants split broadly into two streams: the Nguni peoples (ancestors of today's Zulu, Xhosa, Swazi, and Ndebele) who settled the eastern coastal plains, and the Sotho-Tswana peoples (ancestors of today's Sotho, Tswana, and Pedi) who spread across the interior plateau 🗺️

As these Bantu-speaking farmers encountered the San and Khoi already living across the land, generations of contact, intermarriage, and exchange followed. This is why several Nguni languages, like isiZulu and isiXhosa, carry click consonants borrowed directly from Khoisan speech — a linguistic fingerprint of that shared history still heard today 👂

Centuries later, Dutch and British colonization introduced European languages to the region. Afrikaans developed locally from Dutch, shaped by the languages of enslaved and indigenous people at the Cape, while English arrived through British settlement and administration 🏛️

By 1994, South Africa recognized this depth of linguistic history by giving official status to eleven languages, nine of them African — a rare acknowledgment, constitutionally, of just how many roots this land actually has 🇿🇦

Every language spoken in South Africa today carries centuries of migration, contact, and adaptation behind it — proof that the country's diversity was never new, only formally recognized

Sabbath Reflection.

Family, this lesson pierced our hearts.
We walked through the Scriptures and saw it clearly. Our Father never stops calling His people back.

Even when we’ve wandered far. He is patient, He is loving, and His arms are always open to restore us. Isaiah 55:7 Luke 15:20

Brother Deshaun message "Come back home, Its Time" was turned into a song for our class — something you can listen to during the week as a reminder that God is still calling, still healing, still waiting with open arms.

New Sabbath Song: "Come Back Home”

May it strengthen your spirit and draw you closer to Him.

_“Come back to me and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts._ Malachi 3:7.
