2 Corinthians 7 vs 1 "Therefore having these promises , beloved , let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit , perfecting holiness in the fear of God"We usually avoid the sins of the flesh (fornication , adultery etc) and overlook the sins of the spirit which are pride , unforgiveness etc it's high time we start perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Psalm 103 vs 7 " He made known His ways to Moses , His acts to the children of Israel."God made known His acts-miracles etc to the children of Israel but made known His ways - character and nature to Moses.People who only know His acts become spectators and make endless demands and complain but those who know their God (know His ways ) do great exploits.Those who only know His acts have the Prodigal son's initial attitude which goes with saying "give me" but those who are willing to know His ways have the attitude he had when he came back saying "make me" and in the process of making him the father gave him the best robe , a ring , sandals and slaughtered the fatted calf without him asking for these things.Wuuuu "make me to know your ways oh lord!"
