IN THE MOUTH OF FOUR, NOT TWO OR THREE WITNESSES

WEDNESDAY, 26 AUGUST 2026

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me - John 11:41-42

Before the Lord Jesus Christ commanded Lazarus to come back from the dead, He prayed first. 2 Corinthians 1:9 says, ‘But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, THAT WE SHOULD NOT TRUST IN OURSELVES BUT IN GOD WHO RAISETH THE DEAD.’ It is God who raises the dead. Therefore, when we want to see someone raised from the dead, it’s not a matter of just commanding them to live. We must rely on God, and ask Him to bring the dead back to life.

Before the apostle Peter commanded Tabitha to come back to life, he prayed first. Acts 9:40 says, ‘Peter sent them all out of the room; THEN HE GOT DOWN ON HIS KNEES AND PRAYED. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.’ Before Elijah raised the widow’s son, he prayed first. 1 Kings 17:20-21 says, ‘Then he cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, have you brought tragedy even on this widow I am staying with, by causing her son to die?” Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!’

Before Elisha raised the Shunammite’s son, he prayed first. 2 Kings 4:33,35 says, ‘He went in, shut the door on the two of them AND PRAYED TO THE LORD. Then he got on the bed and lay on the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands…The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.’ In the mouth of four witnesses, we can see the same pattern repeat over and over again. Praying in faith to the One for whom nothing is impossible is what brings the dead back to life. Without Him, we can do nothing. Why are the dead not raised in our generation? Faithlessness and prayerlessness. But through faith and prayer, nothing shall be impossible for us. It’s time to believe God for the impossible. It’s time to step out in faith and see the dead live again.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, use me to raise the dead in my generation. I believe that with You, nothing is impossible. Therefore, I believe that with You, the dead can be raised. Amen.

THERE’S SOMETHING MISSING

TUESDAY, 25 AUGUST 2026

And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother - Luke 7:14-15

The Lord Jesus Christ raised the dead. The prophets raised the dead. The apostles raised the dead. I don’t know about you, but each time I think about this, I’m left with feelings of inadequacy, underachievement, and failure. Each time I encounter such verses in the bible, I’m left with feelings of smallness for my generation of the Church. I just want to hit the prayer closet, disappear for days, and seek the face of God.

Modern-day ministry is characterised by many things that often don’t result in the dead being raised. Too many ministers of the gospel are trapped in the cycle of sermon preparation, preaching, teaching, counselling, conferences, meetings, and many other activities that take us away from the prayer closet. In fact, many congregation members are the same. They’re also trapped in the cycle of work, study, family, friends, and recreation. I’m not against any of that. Ministers must do whatever it takes to be effective in ministry. I also believe we need to live a balanced life. However, we must admit that there’s something missing in our Christian experience. We lack the intensity of the first generation of the Church.

Our generation of the Church loves the world and the things of the world. We’re very preoccupied with distractions. I’ve been prophesying for months and years that we’re going to enter a season where death will be rampant. I prophesied that by 2030, just about everyone would have lost at least one family member. And that season has come. There are funerals everywhere. People are dying in large numbers. And it’s about to get worse. But I believe this is going to be the Church’s finest hour. We need to start contending for miracles beyond healing and deliverance. I still maintain, since the return of the Lord Jesus Christ will result in masses of people being raised from the dead, the last day Church will have the capacity to prove that God has power over death. We’re that Church. We’re that generation. I don’t know about you, but I’m putting my hand up. It’s time to walk in the footsteps of our faith ancestors. It’s time to walk in our inheritance as their heirs. It’s time for the dead to rise, and for this generation to repent and believe the gospel.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for the Church. Cause us to hunger and thirst for what truly matters. May we not fail as a generation, but may we rise and cause the dead to come back to life. Amen.

VICTORY OVER THE PRINCE OF POVERTY

MONDAY, 24 AUGUST 2026

MONEY MONDAY

But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ - 1 Corinthians 15:57

On the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ judged the princes of this world, including poverty. Colossians 2:15 says, ‘And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.’ The prince or principality who presides over poverty by causing it, increasing it, and maintaining it has already been judged on the cross. Now God has given to the Church the victory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore the Church walks in victory over poverty.

You might say, ‘Why then am I experiencing poverty in my life?’ In the scriptures we see even the apostle Paul get affected by poverty. But that was because of persecution. If you’re experiencing poverty in your life, and there’s no persecution anywhere, something is wrong. James 4:7 says, ‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’ When the demon of poverty is running rampant in your life, and it’s not because of persecution, you must consider that you might be doing something wrong. There’s an area in your life that’s not surrendered to God, and that’s what’s opened the door to Satan to destroy you financially.

Usually, the first place to look is your giving. If you’re tithing and offering faithfully and Satan is still stealing your money, then the next place to look is your lifestyle. Most Christians live in sin. They live unholy and unconsecrated lives that stop God from moving in their lives, and give Satan access to their finances. You have no authority over the kingdom of darkness as long as you live in it. If you’re giving and walking in holiness, and yet Satan keeps attacking your finances, then the next place to look is your assignment. Are you walking in your prophetic destiny? Are you doing what God has called you to do? Are you in the right place, with the right people, doing the right thing? You can’t expect the blessing of Canaan while still living in Egypt. Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. It’s time to walk in victory.

CONFESSION

Thanks be unto God, who gives me the victory in Christ Jesus. Thanks be unto God who always leads me in triumphal procession in Christ. Glory to God!

RAISE THE DEAD

SUNDAY, 23 AUGUST 2026

RESURRECTION SUNDAY

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ - 1 Corinthians 15:54-57

Whichever way you look at it, Christianity is a life of victory. In the end, when the Lord Jesus Christ returns, He will finally deliver His people from death. In this world, we experience total deliverance from spiritual death through eternal life in our spirit. However, deliverance from death in the flesh will come at the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ will raise the dead in Christ, and those of us who’ll be alive at the time and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. This mortality will put on immortality, and our bodies will match our spirit. We will never ever die again. Oh, glory to God!

However, victory over death can be experienced in this world in a measure. Just because our bodies are not immortal, it doesn’t mean we’re at the mercy of death until the Lord returns. Matthew 10:7-8 says, ‘And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, RAISE THE DEAD, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.’ Not only did the Lord Jesus Christ raise the dead, not only did He rise from the dead Himself, but He also gave the Church the power to raise the dead.

Revelation 21:4 says, ‘And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.’ When the Lord Jesus Christ finally sets up the kingdom of heaven on earth, there will be no more death. That’s why when we preach the gospel of the kingdom, we must be witnesses and produce proof and evidence of our kingdom’s victory over death by raising the dead by the power of the Spirit. Before the Lord Jesus Christ returns, it will finally click, and the miracle of raising the dead will once more become a regular occurrence in this world. The Church will finally move beyond casting out devils and healing the sick. We’re grateful for the miracles of deliverance and healing. But it’s time to press in and demonstrate the kingdom of heaven’s victory over death. These are the last days, death is about to devastate this world through war, pestilence, famine, and natural disasters. Our moment has arrived. It’s time to raise the dead. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, use me in this season not only to cast out devils and heal the sick, but also to raise the dead. Amen.
