'COME AND SEE'
Nathanael, "an Israelite in whom there was no deceit" as referred to by our Lord Jesus Christ, is only mentioned in the Gospel of John Chapters 1 and 21, the other three gospels identify him as “Bartholomew.” His skepticism in John 1:46 “Can any good thing come from Nazareth?” has to this day become a very interesting study portion.
But I will quickly focus on the simple answer to this statement by Nathanael's friend Philip, “Come and see” (John 1:46), which also resembles a similar invitation offered by a Samaritan woman to her people in John 4:29. “Come and see” is a model invitation. Whether hearers are interested in Jesus (as in John 1:38-39), have heard nothing about him (as in John 4:28-29), or have a legitimate object likely here in John 1:46), the invitation is to come to experience Jesus for themselves.
Let me make a personal statement as revealed to me by the Spirit of God. "Whoever comes to the Lord Jesus Christ sees something different, and those that don't see anything are different in their way."
I'm not talking about miracles, signs, and wonders, more than words can explain, there is always an experience to encounter.
Nathanael, later on, saw, “the Son of God and the king of Israel.” Brethren, there is always something to see of the Lord Jesus Christ daily as we draw closer and closer in the relationship of the Holy Spirit.
And I guarantee that you will see the Lord Jesus Christ in all spheres of your life. This, not just a prophecy, it is a tangible manifestation that won't be questioned. And irrespective of how you have seen Him, you are about to see the other side of Him.
