The blessing of an ordinary day. About a week ago I was having a pretty ordinary Friday, wondering what I'm gonna do the weekend, Suddenly I get a call from my dad saying my mum is in an ambulance on her way to the hospital. Just like that panic set it instantly my perspective changed all the little worries and irritations didn't matter . I was helpless- all I could do was pray. At that moment all the scriptures I read and memorised over the years had come to the surface. I could do nothing else but simply trust. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose . This verse was a great comfort to me. Even when there is no fireworks and life seems uneventful - I am greatfull that he is always working for my good.

11 And she made this vow: “O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut. 1 Samuel 1:11 Hannah desired a child for many years and in her desperation she promised him back to God. Look at your list - Are you ready to give back to God what you desire?. Everything belongs to him, our whole life. Remember the people of Israel eventually worshipped the thing God had given them and not God himself. Be careful not to fall into that trap. Maybe you've been praying for something for many years - Ask yourself when God gives me this will I let him steward it and use it for his glory? When we give our lives to Jesus, it's our whole lives , holding nothing back.

He hears you. Isaiah 65:24
24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Sometimes when you've been praying for something for a long time and there's no movement or answer it may feel that God isn't hearing you. Of course he hears you - why would this great God leave his throne, spend 30 plus years as a man only to be betrayed, tortured then die a gruesome and undeserving death just so the veil can be removed and he can have a real and intimate relationship with you. This God knows the numbers of hairs on your head . He cares about every detail of your life and wants to hear you. Trust in his will and his perfect timing for your answered prayer. God loves you more than you know and he hears your every cry. Don't let the enemy deceive you when God seems silent- he is working all things for our good.Stay consistent and stay in faith.

He enables me Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. No matter what we have achieved and no matter who we become - God enables us to get there, like the prophet says ' HE MAKES my feet like the feet of a deer' .God has made each one of us unique and skilled in certain areas let us stay humble and always remember he has given us those talents, skills and unique abilities and we can do nothing without him. Verse 17 of this chapter says , 'Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines...' until verse 19 he is basically speaking about a season of lack in his life and then Verse 19 shows that,oh man, this Habakkuk knows his God , he is confident that surely God can take him to new heights and deliver him from this circumstance. Whatever you are going through he can make your feet like the feet of a deer and enable you to move to new heights. Let us rest in our father knowing that the Lord of Heavens Armies is for us and not against us and he will promote us, he will deliver us and yes he is able!
