In our Modern world, Fatherhood has been greatly overlooked and misunderstood. As a result, there's too much abuse and mishandling of it.
Spiritual fathers are given by God, but received by they that have revelation and wisdom. In 2 Kings 2:12, we see Elisha who was ordained and mentored by Elijah recognizing him no longer just as a Prophet but a Father.
If you read the whole chapter you'll realize that Elijah already had sons in in 1 Kings 19:15-16. But of all the sons he Anointed, only one decided to follow close and its that one who received his Mantle.
Now Fathers aren't perfect. In fact many are times when fathers will do evident mistakes and even step on sons toes sometimes, but their imperfections don't mean they aren't fathers anymore.
Noah was a Father and he got drunk in front of his sons, one of them laughed at his nakedness while the other one clothed and covered his Nakedness (shame). That's why true sons do when fathers commit mistakes.
