There is more evidence of God’s goodness in your life right now than you may be giving attention to.
After seasons of disappointment, loss, or uncertainty, it is easy for our minds to focus on what is wrong, what is missing, or what could go wrong next. We can become so aware of the storm that we miss the signs of God’s faithfulness all around us.
Scripture encourages us to “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thess 5:18). Not because every circumstance is good, but because God is present and at work in every season.
When we intentionally practice gratitude, we begin to notice the blessings we once overlooked, the strength to keep going, unexpected provision, answered prayers and the hand of God upon our lives.
As Dr. Caroline Leaf teaches, our minds can be trained to notice the good. As believers, we know that goodness ultimately flows from God.
Today, pause and thank God for three things. You may discover that God’s goodness has been surrounding you all along, you are simply learning to see it more clearly.
