Seeking the Father’s heart. Journey with me as I steward His call and lead with love. (Married 2 Devs/mama of 4/leader@Incouragechurch)

There is something in us that often wants security faster than surrender.

The temptation usually starts with a whisper:
👉 “God isn’t moving fast enough… maybe I need to help Him out.”

That pressure can lead us into:
- shortcuts
- compromise
- dishonest gain
- fear-driven decisions
- self-preservation

In Joshua 7, Achan secretly took silver, gold, and a Babylonian robe from Jericho after God instructed Israel not to touch what belonged to Him.

What seemed hidden and harmless eventually affected an entire nation.

📖 “I saw… I coveted… I took… I hid.” — Joshua 7:21

Fear and greed often push people to build security outside of trust in God.

But Scripture reminds us:

📖 1 Corinthians 3:12–13
Some build with gold and silver. Others build with wood, hay, and straw. Fire reveals the foundation.

Not everything that looks successful is built to last.

👑 Kingdom principles:
- integrity over shortcuts
- surrender over control
- obedience over compromise
- faith over fear
- stewardship over selfish gain
- eternal fruit over temporary success

Sometimes we also try rebuilding things God already dealt with:
- old patterns
- unhealthy relationships
- fleshly coping systems
- compromised structures

But Kingdom living is about building what God is building.

👑 What we build outside of God may look strong for a season—but only what is built with Him will endure.

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.”
— Psalm 37:3 ESV

The phrase “befriend faithfulness” is powerful because it reminds me that faithfulness is not something we manufacture on our own — it flows from trusting Jesus.

The more we trust His faithfulness, the more faithfulness is formed within us.

I’m learning that vision carried with Jesus can be carried for longer.
When vision is built on pressure, striving, or performance, it eventually becomes heavy. But when vision is carried in trust with Jesus, faithfulness gives us the strength to endure.

Faithfulness is what keeps us steady when excitement fades.
It keeps us grounded when growth is slow.
It keeps us obedient when no one is watching.

Faithfulness is rarely formed in dramatic moments.

More often, it is built quietly in the daily decisions:• to trust God when we cannot see• to obey when it feels inconvenient• to keep showing up when progress feels slow• to remain trustworthy in both pressure and success• to keep praying, serving, and doing the little things well

Great vision is often sustained by ordinary obedience.

You want to go far? Go together.
Go with Jesus.
Walk with Him daily.
Trust Him in the process.

Because lasting fruit is rarely built through shortcuts — it is built through consistent obedience over time.

Over time, what once felt difficult becomes devotion.

And the small acts of faithfulness we repeat daily eventually shape the person we become.

Some people spend so much time worrying about what might happen that they never enjoy what is happening [now].” — Billy Graham

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

What we truly believe will eventually come out of our mouths.

Paul writes 2 Corinthians 4:13 while facing suffering, pressure, persecution, and hardship—yet he continues speaking truth boldly.

Why?

Because faith speaks.

📖 2 Corinthians 4:13
“I believed, therefore I spoke.”

Too often we pray for breakthrough while speaking fear, doubt, complaint, and unbelief over the very situations we are asking God to move in.

The battle is not only what you are facing.
It is also what you are saying while you face it.

Even at Jericho, Joshua instructed the people:

📖 Joshua 6:10
“Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout.”

Why?

Because unbelieving words can contradict what God is wanting to establish.

Our words:
• build faith or fear
• release life or death
• align with truth or reinforce unbelief

Faith is not pretending problems do not exist.
Faith is choosing to speak in alignment with God despite what you see.

So this week:

👉 Assess your words
👉 Ask God what He is saying
👉 Speak truth instead of fear
👉 Recognise His faithfulness in the middle of the trial
👉 Hold gratitude and grief together

Because what you repeatedly say shapes the atmosphere you live in.

Victory Through the Hard Place

The Christian story is never:
• cross without resurrection
• suffering without redemption
• death without victory

The cross teaches us that painful places are often the pathway—not the final destination.

What looked like the end became the place where God revealed His greatest victory.

👑 THE HARD PLACE IS NOT FINAL

Some people are:
• grieving
• battling addiction
• facing marriage struggles
• dealing with depression
• walking through financial pressure
• carrying disappointment
• fighting fear and anxiety

Ascension and resurrection remind us:
God finishes stories differently than people expect.

Ascension Day reminds us that Jesus is not only risen—He is reigning. 👑

The cross looked like defeat, but resurrection and ascension revealed victory.

Christ is seated in authority above every power, kingdom, fear, and spiritual force. He is enthroned, interceding for us, and ruling now.

Because He reigns:
• we are alive in the Spirit
• we have access to the Father
• we are not abandoned
• we have the Holy Spirit
• we can live from victory, not fear

Triumphant living does not mean life is easy.
It means Christ remains King in the middle of it all.

We don’t just have hope.
We have His victory.
