Easter Sunday – Encounter With the Risen Christ

Today’s Easter Sunday service centred on the powerful message: “The resurrection is central to our faith.” We were reminded that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for us and rose again, appearing to His followers as the Risen One — living, transformed, and victorious over death.

Today’s Bible text was taken from John 20:17–18 (NKJV), where Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene and sends her to share the news of His ascension with the disciples.
Our Bible reading was done by Sister Temica Hartzenberg out of Mark 16:1–15 (NKJV).

The service highlighted the significance of Jesus’ resurrection:
• It confirms His divine Sonship and the truth of the gospel.
• It shows God’s love and desire for all people to be saved.
• It reveals that Jesus’ victory over death is the foundation of our hope.
• It assures us that Christ’s return and our own resurrection are certain.

In the summary of today’s message, we were reminded:
• The resurrection of Jesus Christ confirms His divine Sonship and the gospel.
• The resurrection is the foundation of our faith.
• Let us share the joy of the resurrection with our neighbour.

Today, we rejoice that Jesus Christ is risen — and with grateful hearts, we carry this Easter joy into the week ahead.

Good Friday Divine Service – “It Is Finished!”

Today we gathered in deep reflection as we remembered the great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible reading was done by Brother Tyler Hartzenberg out of Mark 15:22–39 (NKJV), reminding us of Jesus’ final moments on the cross and the love that carried Him through His suffering.

Our message centred on Jesus’ powerful words in John 19:30 (NKJV): “It is finished!” His path to the cross was not a coincidence or a tragedy—it was the fulfilment of God’s plan of salvation. Jesus willingly laid down His life to save all humankind, opening the way to perfect fellowship with God.

We were reminded that His sacrifice marks the beginning of a new covenant and that His victory is valid for both the living and the dead. Through His death and resurrection, the way to eternal life has been made open for all.

One Man, One Week, One Salvation
Tonight our YP gathered for a powerful presentation walking through the days of Holy Week reflecting on what each day represents and the incredible gift of salvation brought through Christ’s sacrifice.

We also took a moment to revisit our previous message, “There is no Ch_rch without U”, expressing heartfelt appreciation for the parents, ministers, and supporters who pour into us and help shape the YP into the family we are today.

A night of learning, gratitude, and renewed faith as we journey toward Easter.
