A Legacy of Faith! Raising a Christ generation!
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
This verse isn’t just wise advice for parents, it’s a quiet but urgent whisper from God’s heart to ours. In a world where truth seems to shift like sand, Proverbs 22:6 reminds us that godly instruction lays down a foundation that lasts. It’s not just about teaching good behaviour, it’s about shaping the heart, directing it toward God.
When Scripture says, “the way he should go,” it speaks of more than just manners or morality. It means leading a child into a life where God is real, His Word is treasured, and His ways are trusted. It’s about helping them recognize His voice, even in the noise of the world.
Psalm 78:4–7 paints this picture so beautifully:
“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord…”
Why? So that the next generation would “set their hope in God, not forget His works, but keep His commandments.” What a calling. What a privilege. We don’t just pass down stories, we pass down faith, hope, and the promise of God’s goodness.
And then there’s Deuteronomy 6:6–7, which brings it so close to home:
“These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…”
But notice what comes first: “on your heart.” Before we can pass anything on, we must carry it deep within ourselves. Faith is best taught not through sermons or lectures, but through the everyday moments, honoring the Bible by reading daily, bedtime prayers, early morning songs, quiet questions in the car, or grace before a meal. Children watch. They listen. They remember, and they imitate.
It’s in those small, sacred rhythms that faith takes root.
So, let’s be intentional, not perfect, but present. Let’s tell them who God is, not just what He’s done. Let’s raise a generation that doesn’t just know about God, but knows Him, knows His Word, trusts Him, and walks with Him.
May we leave a legacy of faith.

In today’s fast-paced and often chaotic world, peace can feel like a distant dream. News cycles stir anxiety, personal struggles weigh heavy, and the noise of life can drown out our hope. But Jesus gently reminds us that we don’t walk through this life alone, and we don’t have to carry fear.
In John 14:27, He promises,
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
What a beautiful truth! Jesus doesn’t offer peace that depends on perfect circumstances. He gives us His peace, deep, lasting, and unshakable. It’s not the kind the world knows, but one that calms our hearts even when everything around us is uncertain. It’s the kind of peace that reaches deep into our souls and says, “You are safe with Me.”
We can trust this, because the One who gives us peace is also the One described in Psalm 147!
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” (Psalm 147:3–4)
The Creator who knows every star in the sky also knows you, intimately and tenderly. He sees every wound, every worry, every moment you’ve felt overwhelmed. And He’s not distant. He draws near to comfort, to heal, and to restore.
Today, let your heart be lifted. Even when the world feels heavy, Christ’s peace is real and available to you right now! You are never forgotten, never forsaken, and never alone. The Prince of Peace walks with you, speaks to your heart, and strengthens you with a love that never fails.
So breathe deep. Smile again. God is holding you, guiding you, and filling you with a peace the world can’t take away.

In today’s times we are swamped with stories of war and crime. Every day, we hear of stabbings, shootings, corruption, and families torn apart by violence. It’s heartbreaking, and for many of us, it’s not just something we see on the news. It’s right outside our door.
Here in Capricorn, gang violence isn’t a headline, it’s a daily reality. Children grow up knowing the sound of gunshots. There’s pain in the streets, and fear in the air. But there’s also something else… hope.
It’s right here, in the middle of this brokenness, Dirk chose to plant his feet. He didn’t run from the violence. He ran toward it with the love of Christ. He chose this exact area to minister, to preach the gospel, and to open a Bible college. Not because it’s easy, but because this is where Jesus would be.
The Bible is full of stories like this, people who stood in dark places and trusted God to bring the light. David, hunted by a jealous king, still wrote, “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?” Psalm 27:1
Esther faced the threat of genocide, fasted before risking her life, believing that “perhaps she was born for such a time as this” Esther 4:14
Isaiah declared, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned” Isaiah 43:2
And Jesus, God in flesh, entered a violent world and overcame it not with force, but with sacrificial love.
What gives me courage is not the absence of danger, but the presence of faith. God’s people have always faced war, crime, and injustice, but they never faced it alone.
So today, even as sirens wail and fear creeps in, I choose to stand on the same truth: God is with us. He has not forsaken Capricorn, or your own hometown. He is healing, restoring, and calling us deeper into His love. And just like Dirk, we’re saying yes to His call, right here, right now.
Let’s keep trusting. Keep praying. Standing steadfast in The Truth. “Do not fear, for I am with you…” Isaiah 41:10

Rooted in Purpose: Finding Our Place in the World

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
In a world that constantly pushes us to define ourselves by status, appearance, or achievement, it’s easy to feel misplaced. Many wrestle with the question, “Where do I fit in?” As believers, the answer isn’t found in popularity or position, it’s found in Christ.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s workmanship. That word means we are His handiwork, His masterpiece. God created us intentionally and lovingly, with a unique purpose in mind. Before we took our first breath, He already had a plan prepared for our lives.
We’re not called to blend into the world, but to walk in the good works God has prepared for us. That means our purpose is not something we need to invent, it’s something we discover as we walk closely with Jesus.
Jesus said in John 15:19, “You are not of the world... therefore the world hates you.” This shows us that belonging to God may sometimes mean feeling out of place in the world. But this isn’t rejection, it’s redirection. God is pointing us to a higher calling, one rooted in His kingdom, not in the culture around us.
When we seek our place in Him, we discover that we’re already accepted, already valued, and already chosen. We are ambassadors of Christ, called to reflect His love, truth, and light in every space we enter. It’s not about doing something grand in the eyes of the world, it’s about being faithful in what God has set before us.
Wherever you are today, you are not lost. You are placed. God has planted you with purpose, and in Him, you’ll always find where you truly belong.
