Active and Alive in the Spirit!

Across the Fish Hoek District, the Young People and Ministers held meetings preparing for Pentecost.

We were reminded to recognise that, as children of God, we possess the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is to activate this gift and allow the Spirit to work within us.

NACSA SS Coordinators and YPL Training – Part 2

The Fish Hoek District YPLs and SS Coordinators gathered at Sun Valley Congregation on Saturday morning, May 16, 2026, to participate in the online training session.

The session was both informative and engaging, while also creating an opportunity for self-reflection on how we, as leaders, can continue nurturing God’s children through leadership, love and guidance.

‘The Kingdom of God and Justice’

The Young People Divine Service was conducted by the District Rector, Godwin Jacobs on Sunday morning, May 3, 2026 at Ocean View Congregation.

The service was based on the bible text Matthew 6:33, which says:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

During the service, the Deacon Clint Arendse (Muizenberg Congregation) and the Rector Grant Herman (DaGama Park @ Sun Valley Congregation) were called up to serve the congregation.

Before the conclusion of the Divine Service, Priest Cyprian Kallis was assigned as the District Young People Leader.

Sister Emily Dillon did the bible reading for the service, which was based on Matthew 6: 19-34.
