When we pray we must clear our minds, focus on who we are praying to. We must be aware before we start praying, that we are talking to our God who created the world. We are speaking to Mother Mary, the Mother of God. We are speaking to Jesus, the Son of God. Our Blessed Holy Family.

We must have a daily relationship with our family so that we can place all our hope and faith and trust in Their goodness and kindness. It becomes easier to talk to God, Jesus, Mary and the Holy Spirit about anything, the more you do it.

Realise their love and power. You are not asking someone to part with their secret ingredient for their flop proof cake or speaking to a colleague who can really only listen to you but cant actually help you. You are speaking to God who is the creator. You are speaking to God who knew you before you were born.

Pray to Mother Mary daily. Picture Mary sitting next to you with her arms around you. Give thanks for yesterday and ask for help with your challenges. Miracles do not have an expirey date. Miracles happen when we pray in faith.

As one year closes and another waits to begin, there is a gentle quiet that invites reflection. A moment to look back with honesty — not to reopen wounds, but to recognize what you’ve carried, what you’ve survived, and what you were never meant to bring forward with you. This prayer lives in that pause. Not as a declaration of fear, but as an act of trust.

There are seasons where God allows us to walk through difficulty so that we can learn discernment, strength, and reliance on him. And there are moments, like this one, where faith looks like release. Like choosing not to repeat cycles that no longer align with who you are becoming. Like trusting that what God removes is not punishment, but protection. That what ends is not loss, but mercy.

This is not about erasing the past. It’s about closing the door gently and intentionally, knowing that God is already present in what comes next. When you place your future in his hands, you are not stepping into the unknown alone — you are stepping into a year that has already been seen, guided, and held. May what you leave behind stay behind, and may what lies ahead meet you with clarity, peace, and grace. 🤍

Pope Leo XIV: I invite all the faithful to take part in a day of fasting and prayer on August 22, imploring the Lord to grant us peace and justice, and to wipe away the tears of those who suffer because of ongoing armed conflicts. May Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede so that peoples may find the path of peace.🙏
