Sunday Service Update

Scripture References: Psalms 5:7, Lamentations 3:22, Ecclesiastes 9:11

THE MERCIES OF GOD ARE NEW EVERY MORNING. We all need the mercy of God, because without His mercy there is nothing we can do that will truly prosper. It is the mercy of God that qualifies a person. Mercy can take an ordinary man and cause him to dine with kings and presidents.

By the mercy of God, a person can reach in a short period what was supposed to take ten years.
As believers, we should never neglect asking God for mercy in our prayers. God answers according to His mercy.

There are people who pray, fast, and study the Word faithfully, yet it seems their prayers are not answered. This is because receiving from God is not only based on human effort, but on His mercy. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:22 that His mercies are new every morning.

Every morning God releases fresh mercy upon His children because He knows that without His mercy we cannot survive the day. Mercy is not obtained because of our good deeds, prayers, fasting, or works. Mercy is the undeserving love and compassion of God. God chooses to show mercy, therefore we must continually ask Him for it.

Blind Bartimaeus understood this mystery. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he did not cry for healing first, but he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.” He understood that mercy can be asked for, and mercy can also pass someone by if they remain silent. If Bartimaeus had not cried for mercy, he could have remained blind forever.

Without the mercy of God we cannot survive. We need mercy for strength to climb mountains higher than our ability. We need mercy for forgiveness where we have gone wrong. We need mercy to live another day.

Saul sinned and did not obtain mercy, yet David committed adultery and murder, and God still showed him mercy. It was not because David’s sin was smaller, but because of mercy. Even in battle, victory does not come only through preparation or strength, but through the mercy of God.

If the mercy of God does not speak for you before interviewers, the less qualified can take your position. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. The mercy of God can make the less educated become successful and wealthy. It is not about education, appearance, or status, but about who is speaking over your life.

Whenever we pray, we must ask for mercy. Whenever we worship, we must thank God for His mercy.
In the book of Leviticus, when God instructed Moses to build the Tabernacle, there was the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. Upon the Ark was the Mercy Seat. Offerings passed through the Mercy Seat, representing that prayer itself must pass through mercy. This teaches us that we need mercy to overcome enemies and become what God has called us to be.

It is not about who lays hands on you, but about God showing you mercy. Fasting, prayer, and tithing are human efforts, but mercy comes from the Lord.
God sees everything we are going through. We do not always need to explain our situations to Him; we need to ask Him for mercy. In academics, marriage, business, ministry, and careers, we must depend on the mercy of God because His compassion never fails.

There are battles and powers of darkness fighting against many people, and some enemies are surprised that we are still standing today. If survival depended only on our works, many of us would not be alive. But mercy has preserved us.
Sometimes God allows trouble to come so that we may remember Him, and even in those situations His mercy still speaks for us. If mercy was not speaking on our behalf, many of us would have been destroyed long ago.

The mercy of God does not allow our enemies to rejoice over our downfall.
We must ask God for mercy because we have tried with our own strength and failed. Where we have no voice, may His mercy speak for us. Where we are unqualified, may His mercy qualify us.

The Bible says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” We must also show mercy to others so that mercy may be shown to us.
The Canaanite woman received mercy because she approached Jesus with humility and without pride.

Mercy follows humility. It is a privilege when God opens heaven because of your prayer.
May we learn to ask for God’s mercy daily, because His mercies are new every morning.

SUNDAY SERVICE UPDATE
10 May 2026

Scripture References
Genesis 11:7 | Ephesians 4:1–4 | Acts 4

The Lord reminded us about the importance of UNITY and OBEDIENCE in the body of Christ. As the church today, we may notice that unity is no longer as strong as it was before. In the book of Genesis, God confused the language of the people, and they could no longer understand one another, division entered among them.

Even today, many things are happening in a way that is not of God because there is division and disobedience in the church.
There are people who are supposed to receive healing, deliverance, comfort, and restoration, yet they leave empty because the church is not united. Many people are carrying burdens and pain in silence.

Some need a listening ear, others need a helping hand, and many simply need to experience the love of God through His people.
As children of God, we must find it in our hearts to show LOVE, KINDNESS, and COMPASSION. We must welcome people, help people, and stand with people not because we expect something in return, but because the love of God lives inside of us. True love is genuine, selfless, and obedient to the will of God.

Apostle Paul encouraged the church to walk in humility, patience, peace, and unity because he understood that love among believers was fading. The Bible teaches us that love is not selfish and does not seek its own way. As believers, we are called to bear with one another in love, remain united in one spirit, and walk in OBEDIENCE to God.

We must become one and take care of each other just as the apostles did. They lived in unity, loved one another, shared amongst themselves, and treated each other equally. They cared deeply for one another, prayed for each other, and stood together in every situation.

When one was weak, the others stepped in and lifted him up. When one was discouraged, they strengthened him. This is the kind of unity and love the church must have today. We are called to support, encourage, and carry one another in prayer and love.

Obedience is very important in the life of a believer. Many people want the blessings of God, but few want to obey His instructions. True obedience means serving God even when it is difficult, forgiving when it is painful, loving when it is hard, and remaining faithful even when we do not understand the process. God blesses a church that walks in obedience and unity.

We are servants of God, and there are things we must continue doing even when they are difficult because we are doing them for the sake of our salvation and for the glory of God. Let us learn to be patient with one another, forgive one another, walk together in love, and obey the voice of God wholeheartedly.

There are so many people who need to encounter the love of God through the church, but they cannot receive it because the church is divided and fighting against itself. A divided and disobedient church cannot fully fulfill the assignment God has given it. That is why we must strive to live HOLY lives, obey God wholeheartedly, and serve Him in UNITY.

Where there is UNITY, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE, the presence of God dwells. Where there is unity, there is PEACE, BLESSINGS, and the power of God moving freely among His people. God cannot fully use a church that is divided because there is ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT in Christ.

The church should be the place where people receive the greatest LOVE, PEACE, and ACCEPTANCE. Let us therefore strive to love one another, unite as one body in Christ, walk in obedience, and do all things with ONE HEART for the glory of God Almighty.
