Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
When Jesus was born, he brought glory to heaven. There was rejoicing and celebration in heaven. On earth, he brought peace. Jesus is not the problem of the world, he brought solutions to the world. He brought goodwill towards men. He is peace to man. There is pain and crisis in the world today because they have not received the goodwill of Jesus. Goodwill is like good news. Before Jesus came, Satan was ruling, and he was in Charge. God thought about something to do concerning the situation so He sent Jesus. All around the world, he was we see people whose stories have depicted frustration, despair, pain and poverty. They are broken and hopeless. Some people see this terrible picture of the needy and ask, isn't there a God, couldn't He have done something. The answer is, Yes, there is a God and He has already done something. First, He gave us the mind to think about such people and their challenges because He does not see you as one of them. We need to see the state they are in and He inbuilds in us, the solution and help that they require. We have changed greater than any solution or help we can render is what God did when He sent Jesus to the world. Jesus is God's answer to all of man's challenges. He is the solution to every problem. If a marriage is crashing or a Nation is suffering, it is because they have ignored Jesus. When you see sickness and death reigning in a place, it's because they have ignored Jesus. He is the solution to all the problems of the world. The challenge is that many people go to church but not many people have Jesus in their lives and continues to suffer. Man need more that food, shelter, water and medicine. He needs the divine life. Food is not the major problem of man. What a man needs is the divine life of God. He was made in the image of God and if he isn't functioning as such, he cannot enjoy his existence. What he lost in the garden is the ability to function like God. If you give a man who is in an unbelieving state money, the money cannot save him. What he needs is to go back to the garden and relieve the divine life. When you have the divine life of God, you don't think the way the world thinks. The doctor cannot rule your mind or tell you that your lungs will just work again and you agree. When people say nothing is nothing is working, the divine life in you will make things work. Only Jesus can give that life. He said he has come, that we may have life and have it more abundantly. (Jn 10:10). Sometimes we think that when people have a lot of money they are fine but he may still be sick or even in pain with all the wealth. Money does not give life, joy or peace. If it could there will be no more sick people in the hospital. Everyone need Jesus. That is why He wants us to go to different parts of of the world to preach the gospel. Everyone needs Jesus, big or small, rich or poor, they all need Jesus. They may act like they don't need him, but they need him. He is God's response to the situations of the world today. God knew that if He sent Jesus, He would not disappoint him. What about you?
Why are you in that city, are you just there to add to the number of people living there? No! You are called to live like Jesus. If you are not doing that, you are failing God. When God saw what was happening in the world, He sent Jesus. When He saw what was happening in Nigeria, He sent you. Why are you not in China or South Korea? You could have been in the mosque, you could have been in Sudan or any other part of of the world. Why are you in Nigeria. God has a higher purpose of bringing you here. Why are you in that office? That place where you work, why are you there? Jesus said I'm in the world, but I I'm the light of the world. You are the light of the world, a city set upon the hill that cannot be hidden. There is a greater purpose for your life. Why didn't you die 5 years ago, why are you alive today, why are you not sick.? Everyday we meet different people in their thousands and none is led to Christ. Sometimes the reason for the challenge in our lives is for us to preach the gospel. There is a reason for what you are going through. You can choose to live like a dog but that doesn't make you a dog. You are a believer but you can can choose to live like an unbeliever. When God sees you, He sees glory. He sees a man with eternal life. Sometimes, problems comes into our lives because He wants to get our attention. Don't look down on yourself. You are not ordinary, you have the life of God in you. Don't look for deliverance, you are the deliverer. You have the power to change things, you can change any situation. Take authority over the situation and not fighting with your husband or your wife. Satan is the enemy. Wage war in the spirit. God knew that if He gave Jesus to the world, the world would receive him and begin to like him. Christ is the answer. He is the solution that man needs. Get to know Him and follow him in the word, through the word and by the word and your life will be excellent and full of glory.
We speak what we believe and nor what we see. We walk by faith and faith not by sight. For the things revealed to the eyes are subject to change. So we are not bound by our circumstances, we are bound by the word. Everything in your life should be excellent. We have say what we want to see. There is excellence in every fiber of our being, there is excellence in you.
PRAYER : Dear father, thank you for sending Jesus to the world and as the answer to man's cry for salvation, peace, prosperity and wellness. My eyes are opened to see those in need and as your outstretched arms of blessing and a minister of reconciliation. AMEN
