Encouraging word for the day... In the bible, Job 11:18 tells us that, “Having hope will give you courage." A loss of hope is what drives people into all sorts of ill-advised decisions in life. Jesus said, "I've come to give you life and to give it to you more abundantly." His statement is the hope which will give you the courage to not only face your problems but also to charge right into the middle of them. However, our hope can only increase to the level of faith that we have in His statement. If we truly believe that He came to give us an abundant life then we will believe His other statement in Mark 11:22-24, "“Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Now, that's an abundance of hope if you're willing to believe it and act on it. We're on the precipice of historical change in our nation and much of it will not be good because that change is being driven by illogical madness and communist ideals. This change will challenge our hearts, minds, and souls. However, there is an escape for those who believe in Christ and that escape is literally doing what Jesus said for us to do which is, "believe that you receive" your prayers and you shall have them. Take hope in the very promises of Jesus today so that you will have the courage to tackle life. Those who don't know Christ will shrink back in fear and live a very anxious life. However, those who choose to act upon His Word will live in an abundance of peace, joy, and rest in Him. Every generation has its challenges to face and we have arrived at ours. You're in a fight you didn't ask for. However, choosing not to fight will not save you. Only making the choice to rise up by faith in Christ will save your heart from emotional failure. You can do it, my friend. Force your will into action and confess God's Word in your heart daily and watch and see how he moves in the most miraculous way in your life today! Trust me, it can be storming outside, but a soul whose compass points towards Christ will be dancing with the Son on the inside.

This can be the greatest hour for the church. Because the church can no longer be dependent upon a building, it will force Christ-followers everywhere to seek the Lord for creative strategies, wisdom, peace and knowledge for how to navigate these times. We have the opportunity and privilege of coming into His presence right where we are, at ANY time just to be with Him and also to learn how to access the resources of Heaven that Jesus made available to us back at the cross. People all around us are in need of peace like never before and we have the opportunity to introduce them to the Prince of Peace, as well as the Healer and Protector from Psalm 91. This truly could be our finest hour. Distractions have been removed due to the whole world shutting down; complacency is no longer an option. The reality of bringing Heaven to Earth now must become our greatest mission.

How will we do that? We may not know how things will unfold, but we know the One who will be with us AS they unfold and it is incumbent upon us to seek Him, to KNOW Him like never before. "...but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." Daniel 11:32

Let's seek Him like never before. "Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord" Jeremiah 29:12-14

In order to have the peace that passes understanding when the future is uncertain we must anchor our soul in God's words, allowing His words to outweigh anyone else's words. His words are living, powerful, eternal, never-changing, never-failing, always accurate, comforting beyond compare, and carry the ability to transform our heart and our circumstances when we believe them :)

Faith must transform us from the inside out. When we fully believe on the inside what He has said, we will see change on the outside. There must be a letting go of what we see, hear and feel on the outside and instead believe fully that which He has promised to us by His word through His Son.

Then and only then will you have that, which you seek God for.

What if we evaluated our day not by the rewards we received (things accomplished, prayers answered, needs fulfilled, desires granted), but by the seeds we sow (prayer, reading/hearing the Word of God, intentionally looking for ways to fill the love tank in those closest to us, sharing our time, talents and resources, interceding for someone, praising and worshipping the Lord even when nothing seems to be going right)? How might our perceptions of our challenges change when we actively engage in sewing these kinds of seeds in faith instead of focusing on how much we received today?

The seeds we sow today determine the harvest we reap tomorrow. The harvest we are experiencing today is not a result of seeds we planted today, but seeds planted yesterday, last week, last year.... The Word tells us that obedience is better than sacrifice, but there is also a time for sacrifice and these are the sacrifices (seeds) He desires: constantly giving Him praise and showing kindness to all those around us (Hebrews 13:15-16)

Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
