There were 28 Sir Knights who turned out to form the Honor Guard at the funeral of our beloved brother and friend SK Robert H. Schmidt. There were dozens more 3rd degree brothers who showed up as well as those who worked so hard behind the scenes to provide a wonderful reception for Bob’s family.

I am certain he was smiling down on us today, thankful for the love and support shown to his family. That is the true meaning of unity and fraternity and one of the main reasons I became a 4th degree Knight.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make his funeral services and the reception afterwards so reverent, honorable and beautiful. Brother Bob would have been well pleased. He will be missed.
