The Jedi Faith in Australia The Jedi Faith in Australia is a Jedi Religion Movement. We were succesful, in a way, with over 70,000 Jedi registering their faith at risk of persecution.

The Jedi Faith started with the Australian Census of 2002 and the move to make Jedi a recognised religion. Again in 2006 55,000 Jedi were recorded in the Australian Census.

2011 we are moving to register the Jedi Faith in Australia as an official church in this country. To this end we recieved an ABN (Australian Business Number) on 11 August 2011; 52 798 414 078. The Australian Taxation Office issued us with a TFN (Tax File Number) 16 August 2011; 928 443 054. We will post regular updates.

Mokuso (黙想)

"silent contemplation" or "meditation" in Japanese, commonly used in martial arts to clear the mind, focus, and prepare for training or reflect afterward, combining "moku" (silent/still) and "so" (thought/thinking) to achieve a calm, empty mind (mushin) for better focus and self-discipline.

Good Afternoon all,

Yesterday's awful terror attack in Bondi is a stark reminder on why hate has no place in modern society. The youngest victim at 10 yrs old. We must look within ourselves to w**d out these feeling of darkness, face them and bring the light forth with intelligence, understanding and compassion.

If you are struggling, seek help. If you are unsure, ask questions. Dont go at it alone. You are valued, wanted and cared for.

May the Force Be With You All

Good morning everyone.

This will be very short but important.

I have seen a rise in poor behaviour in the general community of late. Resurgence in hateful ideologies and awful ideas. Everybody has a right to existence, a right to peaceful worship and a right to their culture and practices which enrich our society as a whole. As Jedi, we strive to maintain peace and harmony within us, around us and to make sometimes hard choices which might contradict the community around us at the time.

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR HATE OR DISCRIMINATION WITHIN THE ORDER, THE FAITH OR THE COMMUNITIES WE ASSOCIATE WITH.

If you cant accept this basic Tennant, please leave. We will not be associated with violence, hate or evil practices - obvious or well disguised.

Thank you
Master Ragnar.

Greeting Everyone,

Today is a blessed Jedi Day MAY 4!

With this day, we embrace the global joy of everyone being one with the force and the knowledge that life is precious and valued. As we hear from Star Wars fans "May the 4th" we remind ourselves that we might get some tongue in cheek humour but to bring our message to all, smile, thank them and SAY IT BACK. Being a Jedi isn't just martial arts, meditation, thoughtful actions and charity but its also fostering a good sense of humour and an openness towards those that we exist with.

The best thing about being a Jedi on a special day like today is the fact that we as individuals can determine how we celebrate it and who we can include. No need to buy gifts, no requirements on money or forced beliefs but a pride in your self and a happiness to pass on the message that May the Force be With You.

Walk in the path of the Golden Light of the Force and
MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

Regards-
Master Ragnar.

Greetings all,

This jedi message was inspired and partially written my Knight Baer. It's about the spirituality and training in martial arts and doing it within nature.

Martial Arts or Martial Science as it's now commonly referred to is a system of physical, mental and emotional training but there is also a spiritual side to many of it that many misinterpret or misunderstand.

When the spiritual side is mentioned it's not in reference to worship or a deity but in one's connection in mind, body and spirit to create harmony and to allow the flow of energy (Chi, Xi, the Force) to flow uninterrupted to allow greater focus on what you're learning and practising.

Mas Oyama - Karate master - emphasised training in Mt. Minobu using the environment around him as training aids frequently.

Soke Hatsumi - Bujinkan Grand Master - Demands outside training for perception of technique, using the different light and weather to modify potential combat scenarios and that reality of a fight might not happen on soft, indoor conditions.

Shaolin Monks train outside as much as inside, cherishing their surroundings and finding the balance of harmony without to within.

In the West, many cultures from the Romans, Knights, Cossacks and even the pesantry trained outside to strengthen and and give realistic advantage over indoor trained enemies.

Most modern martial arts teach meditation as part of training, not as an act of worship but to clear the mind and prepare the body for training. Jedi do the same. We allow ourselves to become one with the living Force to absorb, flow and find balance. Almost all Jedi practice a martial art of choosing or reccomdation to enhance our spirituality and its important to do so connecting with the elements.

Spirituality within training grounds you, helps dispel negative energies and when your mind body and spirit are in pure harmony, your body heals faster, your mind is clearer and people do notice the improvements.

As Jedi, we develop our spiritual connection through many mediums and Martial Arts is essential for your jedi development and path.

May the Force be with You - Always
Master Ragnar.

Greetings all,

Firstly I want to apologise for the lack of posts. I took a bad turn with a bad chest infection that required a good supply of bacta.

Secondly for many of us in Australia, it's a 4 day holiday and one heavily commercialised. So I will endeavour to provide 2 Jedi thoughts.

The topic for today is reflection as a jedi. Recently I was given insight from a much respected martial arts instructor, and its one that I needed to hear to reflect on in a serious light.

Reflection as a Jedi encompasses many aspects that we need to take seriously. This is a way to stay focused, humble and to be honest in our path. When we meditate, we reflect on our recent interactions, which can be positive or negative from our point of view, however how do others view us and our behaviours and actions? Is there something that needs refinement or total improvement? Could your actions be a positive or a negative influence? Would you do it again the same way or better if you have the opportunity?

Take the time out with being brutally honest with yourself this weekend. Remember that when you lie to yourself, it shows to everyone else. But when you find that inner peace and honesty, your presence become a welcome experience.

With physical reflection, are you sending a message of anger, or peace ? Are you trying to impress or isolate and why? The body is just as important as the mind and spirit, finding balance and harmony brings about a much more settled life that becomes enjoyable.

So as we go forth today, reflect on yourself and find where you need improvement, refinement and contentment.

May the Force be with You All,

Master Ragnar.

Greeting everyone,

Today's Jedi message is about peace. What is it and how we obtain it.

Peace means alot of different things to many different people, from harmony to seclusion and even physical distraction. It's not obtained by simply being happy. It requires hard work, preparation and at times conflict. As the Roman author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus quoted
Si vis pacem, para bellum. (If you want peace, prepare for war). Best looked at as if you want to maintain peace, you must work for it. This includes inner peace such as mental health.

Many Jedi train in martial arts, not because we seek violence but to condition ourselves physically, emotionally and we practice spiritual arts like meditation for mental and spiritual upkeep. This way we find peace within ourselves and are aware of surroundings, emotions and our response to those elements.

As at home and work, we strive to deter criminal elements to keep our selves as safe as possible. While this isn't a guarantee, to do nothing is to expect everything. We don't however seek to bring harm to those who are misguided or desperate. The best deterence is preparation and review.

However peace is best summed up by Albert Einstein - The path to peace is though tolerance and understanding.

This means that you don't have to accept everything but trying to comprehend as much as possible is the first step forward. The second is a contrite heart and a logical mind.

May the Force be with You All

Worrying about what we can't control and clinging to what we think is ours is wasted time and energy. The universe is always in a state of flux, so are we. To ensure our will is dangerous to everything around us. Instead let the force flow and guide you, let it change and grow. Happiness is not found in the material world but as a state of mind. When we start to change our thinking towards the positive, we will see that what was our stress soon becomes a footnote in our lives.

May the Force be with you all.

Good evening all.

This image has much wisdom to it that is actually a reflection of Jedi principles.

Right thinking isn't political or a show of arrogance. Right thinking is about keeping your thought towards peace, calmness and staying connected to the Force. Even in the face of stress, violence and adversity, a calm, focused mind will be beneficial and give better outcomes.

The best way to practice getting this state of mind is meditation, self reflection and putting it onto practice. As Jedi, we strive to improve ourselves and our environments, one of the best ways is by example from our Masters and Knights. Just remember that if our mindset is poor, it needs prompting to bring it back to a harmonious state.

Right Thinking - Right Action - Right outcomes.

May the Force be with You All.
