Our first Sacred Space of 2026 is tomorrow. Why not join us for coffee at 11.15am before we begin a new year together of exploring faith, nurturing friendships and building community.

Tomorrow we will hold our annual Last Light service at The Commons at 4.30pm and reflect on the year past. On New Year's Day we will see the First Light of the New Year at Ballyvester Beach (weather permitting) at 8am. As we begin the new year together as a community, here is a reminder of our rhythms and gatherings throughout January.
Sunday 5th: Gathering for sacred stories
Tuesday 14th: Borderlands
Sunday 19th: Share a meal and communion Tuesday 21st: Worship night
Saturday 25th: Winter walk and talk
Daily prayers begin again on Monday 6th January at 7am on Zoom, with Compline at 9.30pm Monday - Wednesday

Borderlands this month is 8th October at the Pavilion Bar on the Ormeau at 7.30pm. Our theme this month is Ending Violence Against Women and Girls. We will be hearing from experts and those passionate about working in the area of Gender Based Violence. As always we will have great, local musicians and a warm space of community and welcome.

Our rhythm of daily morning prayer begins again on Monday 9th September at 7am. This is a great opportunity to come together (via Zoom) to pray for our community and each other, before we head into our days. Please message for details.

Borderlands is back next Tuesday 10th September. Join us us in the Pavilion Bar for a 7.30pm start. In light of the sadness of riots last month but equally the inspiration of a mass civic response we thought it would be good to look at what “Protest” means. What does it mean in our every day lives? What does it mean on a Saturday afternoon when calling out for justice in Gaza? How can the practise of “welcome” become a protest against systems that seek to marginalise, silence and dehumanise those coming to our shores seeking safety from war and persecution.

We are looking forward to meeting together this Sunday afternoon in the Knockbreda Community Garden to share a meal and pray for each other and our community. All are welcome at 4pm - bring something to share or just bring yourself.

This month’s Borderlands explores our human connection to the Earth...the importance of our being grounded in a place, aware of our interdependence on the natural world, the rhythm of the seasons and our responsibility to care and protect it. We will hear from people active in creating connection to nature, those involved in community gardening in urban spaces and reflect on the sacredness of the ground. We’ll also have some beautiful music and poetry as always. Join us on 14th May from 7.30pm at the Pavilion in Belfast.
