Archdiocese mourns death of beloved
priest Father Mike Crisostomo

With the deepest of sorrow, our Catholic Church on Guam mourns the passing of one of our most beloved priests, Father Mike Crisostomo today, Jan. 2, 2026.
There is a large hole in our hearts and our Church today.
Palé Mike died peacefully close to 4 p.m. today surrounded by family members and others at Guam Memorial Hospital. He had suffered a stroke and was admitted to GMH on Dec. 31.
Archbishop Ryan P. Jimenez extends his prayers and condolences to the Crisostomo family. The Church on Guam and the family together express heartfelt gratitude to the numerous people who have conveyed their love, support and prayers for the dear priest. The outpouring has been tremendous.
Archbishop asks all Catholics to join in prayer for Palé Mike as well as his family. We thank our Lord for the blessing of this wonderful priest.
Update: Starting tonight, Jan. 2, Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 6 p.m. at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Tamuning on weeknights. On Saturday and Sunday, Rosary is 4:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass arrangements will be announced shortly.
Palé Mike devoted 29 years of his life serving God and ministering to our people as a consecrated servant. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 22, 1996. Palé Mike was not only a faithful priest but a cherished friend to numerous people and very active leader and contributor in many areas, both in the Archdiocese of Agaña and our community.
Most recently serving as the Parochial Administrator of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Inarajan, the kind-hearted, friendly priest also led Saint Anthony Catholic Church as its Pastor and Parochial Administrator until this year. He served as Vicar of Clergy for the Curia, was Chair of the Guam Coalition for Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse, Chaplain for the Catholic Daughters, Director of the archdiocese’s Ministry for the Homeless Soup Kitchen, Erica’s House and among many others throughout the last three decades.
