St Marks Anglican Church Freshwater

St Marks Freshwater was officially opened on 23 September 1911. When the district was renamed ‘Harbord’ in 1923, the church was as well. In 1952 the church ceased to be a branch of St Matthews Manly, and in 1961, the present building was opened. The church name returned to ‘Freshwater’ in September 2008, and just last year (2017) significant internal renovations saw the 1961 furniture replaced with a more modern interior.

From its establishment in 1911, St Marks has been focussed on and motivated by one thing: the grace of God in Jesus. It is the grace of God that shapes all of our services and all the activities and events the church runs. We believe that God’s grace has the power to transform your life (sometimes slowly, sometimes instantaneously), just as it has for so many at St Marks.

You are more than welcome to visit on any Sunday, 8am (more traditional), 9.45am and 6pm.
