The Akron Area Interfaith Council works to initiate, coordinate, and enable effective interfaith responses to the social, moral, ethical, and cultural issues of our community and to promote freedom of religion, equality, and understanding. We are people of many faiths coming together to promote freedom of religion, equality and understanding. AAIC has clergy and laity from Judaism, Islam, Buddhism

, Hindu Community, Baha'i Community, Unitarian Universalist, Protestant Christianity, and Catholicism. One of the several projects undertaken by the AAIC is the annual AAIC Hunger Walk, which raises funds for the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank.
