It is with sadness that, today, we say goodbye to our dear friend, Agnes Slocombe. We thank God for her life, inspiration and her determination to do all that is right, her love for God and her love for people. Each of us will have a personal story to tell, a memory to cherish and a smile to spread - this tells us something of the lady that we have known.
Our sadness turns to joy as we measure the impact that Agnes had in our lives and that of the local community. As we remember her, let us focus our minds and hearts on the one who was her rock and her salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God!

Psalm 27:1-4
The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
